Best known to their inner circle of fans as Ted Bardy and the Bardy Boys, all the members except Ted decided to adopt the name Metro for their first record release, "I Never Came Home To Fight." Though it's descriptive of the band's interpersonal dynamics, the song was actually written as an ode dedicated to veterans. Paired with the flip-side of this now collector's 45 RPM vinyl, "Turn Up The Radio," the energy generated by Ted, Dave, Stevie, Tim and Jeff on stage and in the studio cemented their place as one of New York City's fastest rising rock-blues groups. The end wasn't pretty, but then again - neither was the beginning. It's what happened at their peak that made them legendary and what still lives on today. Here's the proof. Keep rockin'!
