Honestly I like what this one guy did with guitar pedals instead of mixers - I plugged into both inputs of my amp, fed one from thr SD-1 output, one to the input, and got some nice squeaky, clean synth sound that just need to be properly Tuned I’m curious to try this with an analog mixer sometime tho, I’m hesitant to use a digital one

Honestly, almost *anything* sounds good sampled into Pigments with the granular engine, that's the key to this. Mixer feedback on it's own sounds fairly awful! Although some people like that stuff, if you want to just make harsh noisecore or something...I've had a lot of fun this week feeding back an old 4-track through my interface, but using VCV in the loop so you get digital effects with a nice saturation from the tape inputs.
@pamka6913

Ayy the classic mixer feedback! Noise artists have been using this one for decades. Even better if you add effects into the feedback loops!

Tip for anyone interested: I don't know the exact model name, but there is a 12-channel version from the same mixer series which does feature direct outs on channels 1-8, meaning that you can feed ch1 into ch2, ch2 into ch3 and so on.

can this damage the mixer? It seems some of my channels are not working anymore.*UPDATE: I suspect the connection port is damaged somehow. The contact points are not all touching the 1/4 jack poles. When I insert the jack fully, there is not sound. It only works if I pull it out slightly but sounds low.
