My husband and I, over 60+, loved the Animé style of this movie to represent the mentality of young teens. Emotions were very realistic and gave me flashbacks. Periods, body odor, the bewildering beginnings of sexual thoughts, and bursts of anger…how refreshing to talk about it! We’re going to watch it again.

@@jonquilgemstone those are two totally different things. Periods are not sexual. Periods need to be known about to understand someone when they are experiencing the inconveniences of it. Periods are normal things that happen to someone like wet dreams, yes, but talking about periods is actually needed, whereas wet dreams are already a known and pretty much destigmatozed thing that people just don't mention in the same way you don't detail your sexual life every time you go out.
