In April 2023, the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion at the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health hosted its third national conference, Turning the Tide: Combatting Misinformation in Public Health. Conference speakers examined public health misinformation regarding climate change, abortion, and global vaccinations, and discussed strategies to combat misinformation. By bringing together leading public health and science communication researchers, we hope to contribute to the important research and discussion surrounding the science and practice of tackling public health misinformation.
