I would add JP Harris and Lucero to that...just my thoughts, but that is a helluva lineup.

Can't wait to see them in Kansas City on July 7th at the Uptown Theatre! TPT isn't country enough, rock enough, Americana enough or bluegrass enough for people who need their music in a "box." I'm 39 years old and my explanation to my parents is the best explanation I can give anyone as to why TPT isn't the top act touring right now: "If lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, etc came on to the scene today, there wouldn't be a place for them on the radio." That's where TPT sits. TPT is too gifted musically for a cookie cutter genre. Furthermore, Evan's lyrics are too complex, intelligent, insightful, etc., for a standard radio audience. I may need to start an obscure AM station in the Midwest that plays TPT and others in this genre the way radio programmers did in the 60's and 70's in the Midwest in order to get Skynyrd, Hendrix, ABB, etc to an audience. I love this band and, alongside Hayes Carll, there isn't a more gifted lyrical writer than Evan. I'll take drunks with pens over poets any day of my life!

Your obscure indie station is KPIG in Freedom, CA (near Santa Cruz) - they play TPT and many other great bands that don't get "standard radio" airplay.

They are tighter than ever on stage! I definitely prefer this live version of the song vs the album version.

Normally not a fan of live music because of the usual variations of the original… this however is pretty damn good.🤟🏻
