I think they're just too deep into the Chinese's culture..more like Chinese's wedding.

I think they still maintain the original way, we loss the part where the gloom carry the bride over the bridge and the last part where the groom and the bride kneeling for the elders, the ancestors and gloom the bride bow toward each others.

it makes more sense to me that the phij laj only help the gloom kneeling at the bride's parent house but once return home it should be the gloom and the bride pay their respect to their elders. I think that's how the new couple do as one unit staying forever.

@@chalyvaeewrrfrfwtettyrwete4461 I disagree and believe that's a traditional Chinese custom that their Hmong/Miao group learn from. At @11:33 she specifically said we Chinese that's why both bride & groom bow. Also, the Miao/Hmong in China is very diverse even within and she might be a part of the other group that has more Chinese customs. As I understand it all the sub groups do have different customs & practices so what we do doesn't make theirs right and ours wrong and ours wrong and theirs right, keep that in mind.
