Thank you for your great tutorial! It was very clear and easy to follow! I'm finished my first heart block thanks to you. It's not perfect but it was my first time EVER cutting squares and sewing a block. Thanks again!

When I started sewing, I couldn't get my stupid blocks to match either! I was so frustrated. If you starch your fabrics well (till STIFF), or even add a stabilizer, that helps a ton. Also, your cutting has to be SUPER accurate, your seam allowances consistent, and you could always try glue basting. :)

I've just discovered your videos and they are really wonderful. I was going to ask if you turn the music down so it would be easier to hear you. Thank you so much!

+Amanda Rolfe I agree with Liz Turney about the background music. Your voice alone is very pleasant to listen to; you really don't need any music. The only time it might not be distracting is if you were sewing seams and were not speaking, as music would be more enjoyable than the sound of the sewing machine. Your tutorials can stand on their own. Thanks for contributing to the YT quilting viewers.

Hello Amanda I just love your videos. You are very detailed. but for the life of me, I cant get this figured out. I want to do this block using my 4 1/2 squares that I have cut up already from my Accuquilt Die Cutter about 175 of them different colors and designs. I want to use them up, using this HEART QUILT Pattern for each one of my granddaughters all 5 of them with this being a 12 x12 finished block would 4 across and 5 down be a good size quilt. My problem is when I did the (2) cross cuts from my 4 1/2 squares for the HST & sew them ... my measurement when down to a 2 15/16 square, should I trim these down to 2 1/2 ??? ...or... my real questions is what size do I cut the 6 squares in the Heart Shape to equal that 2 15/16 after sewing the 1/4 seam allowance or whatever the size is if I choose to cut them down...... can not figure out how to cut those .. . just can not figure out the square size to cut
