In this video tutorial, we will learn how to generate a CFD-ready mesh for a stop valve geometry using the Ansys Fluent Meshing Watertight Geometry workflow. We will demonstrate how to extract fluid domain by capping the solid domain openings of the Stop Valve geometry, through use of the Enclose Fluid Regions task. We will see how to import a BOI geometry and add a BOI local sizing control to refine the mesh at the valve section to capture the complex flow dynamics during the simulation. We will also create boundary layers not only in the fluid region, but also in the solid regions, which will help accurately predict the temperature gradients while performing the CHT analysis.
