This tutorial was by far the clearest and most efficient one I have found on Arnold lighting - and I have been looking like crazy! Thanks so much!

I'm confused, in the Arnold documentation it says "It's not recommended to use a skydome_light for interior scenes" for it increases noise.

hi, thanx for the video. I've been testing Arnold GPU on C4D for a while but in render settings indirect sample areas are disabled. is it normal or am I missing something anyone knows about this?

I like the quality of the renders, but it"s way to slow. It took 7 minutes for a black and white render at 600 x 338? What is your system configuration? You can do a black and white at that same resolution in Vray in seconds. I did a scene with 2 windows and only 1 object in the middle of the room, took 57 secs in Vray with high render settings. The same scene, at 600 x 338 in Arnold 27 sec. Both were fully textured. The only difference, was that in Vray, I had additional .ies lights. I'm still wondering why it took your render 7 minutes.

This is another over complicated render engine portal lights, ambient light, sun light. Plus no materials in the Sean that contribute to the effect of the render. Click click click click who has the time? Click.
