If you lay the TV flat, sometimes the screen LED's will separate from the black background. This causes large white circles to appear on the screen. Mine did, and over the next 12 months, I went from 5 3" diameter circles to 12 3" circles and eventually the TV died. Don't lay your TV flat.

This was so damn funny to watch. The truth is there are probably idiots in the world doing crap like this to bring their TVs home. The funniest one is where she's trying to carry it herself and then the box falls on her. 😁

This video is from 2013. I think back then Plasma tvs were still a thing, which were highly recommended to be transported standing up and never laid flat. I’m assuming you laid yours down.

Same here. I bought a UNF9000 in 2013 for $3200. It had to be worked on after 8 months (replaced the mainboard) then 1 month out of warranty, it shot craps for good. Samsung said too bad, so sad. I said never Samsung ANYTHING ever again.

Mine's actually an LG TV, 55 inches OLED. I was wondering how would I get the TV moved when I move? I'm renting to own from Aaron's and after they set up the TV they took the box and packaging with them. So, I don't have a box to transport it in. Nope, nothing soft to wrap around it either. So, what do I do? Screen's very thin and I'm scared it might break on the way to my new home.

Try transporting a 55" TV that is like 3" thick. I can almost guarantee you will revise that opinion, as they are fragile as eggshells.

The small electronics shop that sells thousands of TVs per year recently delivered my TV in a small car lying flat. When I asked him about it said they transport lots of TVs like that and none of them have ever broken.

I wouldn’t have any modern TV sit on its left, right, or top bezels, as they are so thin and can easily cause unnecessary stress on the screen
@Brandon-cs8gw

Honestly, this is bs because you have to go out of your way to bust your TV, yeah... I have a 55 QLED TV, that I layed on my bed for packing, and I didn't make enough room. So, on top of losing my grip it fell on some packing supplies, which applied pressure to the LCD panel, and I went to inspect it. No cracks or dents, and the display was fine when I plugged it back in for a damage report. All I could see was some image distortion, that was already there before the incident, but that's a breaking in effect, which has been going on for awhile. I believe I have a premium production, so I would have to take a jackhammer to it~ Anyone who would have the same incident would either have a defective TV or drop it on purpose...

A Larger TV Fits In Full Size Pickup And Van
@floydefisher
3 жыл бұрын
It depends on what kind of full size pickup you own. For example, a Honda Ridgeline with full size crew cab will easily fit a TV in the back. But if you only have two front seats, and don't have a canopy on the bed, it's not advisable to carry a TV in the bed of that truck (unless you expect pristine sunshine all the way home lol).

TRY TELLING THIS TO UPS OR FED EX OR THE ACTUAL PEOPLE SUPPOSEDLY SAFELY TRANSPORTING YOUR TV TO YOUI. I've worked at warehouse shipping receiving and they're just tossed on the floor scattered they have to throw boxes around just to find yours. I JUST ORDERED AN LG 42 INCH OLED C2 from Amazon and I had to because everyone is sold out or out of stock. TAKING A RISK BIG TIME ON EXPENSIVE TV. Dam I always personally especially electronics go get at best buy or etc.
