Tri-Valley REACH and the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce jointly organized a ribbon cutting event on June 22 in Pleasanton. The ceremony marked an important milestone for REACH as they announced the organization's logo rebranding.
Over the past thirty years, REACH has aimed to create local, affordable, and equitable living options that facilitate a path towards independence. The redesigned logo aligns with the organization's primary objective of giving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) the opportunity to live independently-starting with affordable housing. “The updated logo symbolizes the heart of a home, where the collaborative efforts of board members, volunteers, local officials, and generous donors, all of whom contribute to building a community are represented,” said Kay King, REACH Chair.
“A safe, accessible, and inclusive home is the foundation that nurtures confidence. At REACH, we firmly believe housing is the key to independence”, said King. “In order to address the increasing need for affordable housing for individuals with I/DD in the Tri-Valley, the rental fees at REACH properties are determined based on income, with rates as low as $350 per month. This key mission focus enables these individuals with I/DD the ability to attain independent living, even if they have a significantly low income.”
“We need to take care of everyone in our community. We know affordability of housing is a huge challenge, not only in Pleasanton, but the Tri-Valley and beyond. On behalf of the city of Pleasanton, we thank Tri-Valley REACH for the work they are doing in the space and partnership,” said Jack Balch, Pleasanton Vice Mayor.
