THANK YOU! A few years ago, on vacation, I stimulated my vagus nerve accidentally. I fell, fracturing my wrist and was dehydrated, sleep deprived, and hadn't eaten in like 12 hours. I went to a clinic for my wrist and ended up passing out while they tried getting an x-ray. Vasovagal syncope. After a split and painkillers for 3 days? I felt AMAZING. For 3 weeks I slept, wasn't tired during the day, had so much energy- it was my wildest dream come true. I'm glad I found this: a safe way to stimulate it vs accidentally.

Like others have said, Thank you for firstly an affordable device... Also very important how to use it. I have had hypo insomnia for over 30yrs no life. Was really at point of well I won't say it. But last night I found this. The nerve covers all the problems I have. The sleep problem is the start then all the other problems. It seems so clear like a light bulb being switched on. Thank you. I was searching for units but was out of my range. I have ordered from amazon in the UK as I live here. The ear clips also. I have been on dexamphitamines 12 yrs also provigil recently I knew when covid happened and the long term symptoms were exactly like mine I knew then only then the government would start looking at this illness. CFS, IHS, FATIGUE, REALLY NEED TO STop all these fancy names and start looking at the core of the problem the importance of the vagus nerve. With keeping this healthy would illuminate all my problems. Send my love to you and all those looking for help. Don't give up.

Right ear vs left ear? Virtually every study I've seen stimulates the LEFT ear, as the right ear stimulation could affect the functioning of your heart. The safe choice appears to be the LEFT ear. Update: a recent study states that the concern for stimulating the right side is for cervical stimulation. We are doing ear stimulation, so right side stimulation may not be a problem. Your safest bet is still left side for now though www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7199464/

ok this seems to be something that has become more popular with Opiate withdrawal recently. What I am studying is using a off the shelf TENS unit set at 60-100Hz at .3 to .6ma. The Misimo and Sparrow units seem to use a acupuncture leads for three points in the ear. The goal is to stimulate the Vagus and Amygdala. what I would like to know is it necessary to use acupuncture type leads, as they are not very availible. Basically you have to make your own with ear tacks. Can you use a standard ear probe as you are using. I assume it is less effective. What can you tell us about the difference between a TENS unit and the unit Sparrow or Misimo use or call the Bridge Device for opiate withdrawal.

I have been using mine since March and feel that I started to see changes within two weeks, but I also make sure to take a sublingual b-complex vitamin every day, as well as d3 and selenium (my hematologist noticed I had a b12 deficiency). If I notice a sudden uptick in migraine or neuropathic symptoms, I will use the TENS unit for 40 minutes instead of just 20. I've had idiopathic neutrophilic leukocytosis since 2015, but when I visited my hematologist in April 2022, I actually had my first completely-normal blood test in 7 years! My hematologist kept shaking his head and asking me, "_What_ have you been doing??" I told him about the supplements and the tVNS. I really believe it's both that have contributed-not one or the other alone. Hope this helps!

I ve used 20hz 100 ms (a protocoll which should reduce the fight or fight respone) and the 20hz 200ms. I have the same earclips like in the vid. Only 1 mA is quite irritating feeling and not comfortable at all 2 ms is much more irritating. Am I am too sensitive or is my new tens unit not right. I ve bought the Dittman ten 250 which should be a proper tens unit. Should I go for microcurrent device to lower the mA intensity so that it is fine for me? Another question: The master pattern protocol talks about the material of the earclip, (I have no idea which material my earclip is) also the position on the ear is mentioned and for some patterns the current should not flow continuously, a function my tens unit doesn't have I wonder how important this function is get results like in the protocol? What do they mean with Shamstimulation?

I haven't found anything specifically for viral dysautonomia, if you do, definitely let me know please. I've just been doing 200 micro 25Hz sessions because I've seen related studies like this one: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6517949/ Also, an interesting observation: I once saw a video where a health coach mentioned that dysautonomia happens when something is preventing the body from doing its job of healing. For me it's definitely food. For example, when I tried Prolon 5 day fast, 2 of those days the HF power of my HRV was higher than it's been in years, and I was also able to stand for like 15 minutes at a time before my HR starts to increase. Usually it's about a minute. Have you investigated food as a possible trigger?

I cant advise on that specifically. Anectdotally most people use either cymba conchae or tragus, regardless of what health condition they are treating. Although this study says cymba conchae is preferred: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27898202/ cymba conchae stimulation is better than tragus according to this study? "Conclusions: These findings suggest that tVNS at the cymba conchae properly activates the vagal pathway and results in its strongest activation, and thus may be the optimal location for tVNS therapies applied to the auricle."
