fun fact you can get over 200 skill levels in one battle all you need to do is. get into a siege and wait for the real assault (hope you get a fire catapult) put max amount of focus points into throwing and 1 attribute point into it as well. get those fire-balls and start lobbing hell onto them this is how i got to over 200 throwing skill in one battle

Lol how do you get your troops to face the correct direction? Every single time I micro my troops during combat its a coin flip whether or not they'll have their back turned to oncoming cav. The answer is not the "face enemy" command it rotates the entire formation and when I reposition the troops they're facing the wrong way again
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions

One thing is to make sure your formations are stretched out from LEFT to RIGHT facing the enemy. If you pull your formations right to left they will often face the wrong way. Hope that helps!

This is a suggestion that would take some working and I'm not expecting anything.. I have not seen a lot of videos on the morale system. Maybe you are in a position with the size of your armies where you could do a test. Fight once standard. Fight two more times off a save point. One with no morale perks and the next one with all your captains with morale perks... Maybe with a focus on the negative enemy morale perks. Let's see if there is a difference? I'll have a look around and see if I can find anything out there that goes into any depth on the system. Maybe it makes a big difference maybe it makes little /shrug

"WTF why do they keep coming nonstop!" - I believe I can explain this. Your problem is upgrade itus and small garrisons. The AI will target your castles and cities because they are weaker than other factions. Numbers matter more than tiers. But garrisons always autoupgrade troops right? Garrisons will keep training and upgrading and then firing troops when they cant afford it, leaving them with a smaller number of garrison troops that are higher tier and expensive. You have to visit your garrisons once in awhile to cull the herd so to speak. Its good to keep a few T5-6 in garrison as an anchor of strength, but you are better off fully filling the garrison with T2 troops and just a few high tier troops. Never build the upgrades that speed up garrison training, but do build the upgrades that increase garrison size. If you have full garrisons of T1-3 troops, the AI will find weaker targets among the other factions to attack. Basically the AI follows the path of least resistance and always target the weak. Be a hard target and they will choose an easier enemy. Once they target another faction, then you can go on the offense and take advantage of them beating each other up. Second tip is to recruit recruit recruit vassals. More vassals more troop strength, bigger armies for your side. Your current kingdom is in a bad state and it may be too hard to turn it around or not worth the effort to try. Using my methods the enemy factions will sue for peace with you eventually and pay you tribute. If their peace offer ends up with you paying them, dont accept it if you have strong garrisons. I usually dont begin my world conquering campaign until I have mastered smithing and saved up 20-30 million gold, unless I encouter an opportunity I cant pass up to take something easy. When Im not at war or not being attacked I go out looking for vassals to recruit.
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions

Excellent points and I love and appreciate your deep insights into the game. In the current death-match campaign, one of the rules I have established is no peace, EVER, even if they want to pay us 10000 denars. Also I don't recruit enemy clans OR minor clans. Basically it's a suicide mission. Defeat is not certain, but it's likely, though we'll go down swinging...
@teratokomi8731
12 күн бұрын
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions I see, well the rules you set for yourself will def make it much harder. Lack of incoming tribute means you cant afford bigger armies and garrisons. The tributes dont just go to you, they get split among your vassals, so without tributes your own vassals will suffer and have weak troops and garrisons. There isnt anything you can do about it either, if you give your vassals extra troops, they will just fire them because they dont have the money. Same with their garrisons, so tribute is very important for winning a long war. You can be at war with everyone, but the lack of tributes could be your downfall. The only way to counter having no tributes, is to make sure your fiefs are very prosperous, and Im sure you know, that takes a long time in game to achieve even if you are not at war.

@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions Something you are not aware of then is that vassal clans have set incomes and any money you give them will disappear. Unless they changed/fixed it since I reported it as a bug. You can test it by looking at a vassal clan's money pool. Give them some cash and then watch it every day to see what happens to the money you gave them. They have set incomes and the game will remove money you give them, or it did last time I played, which is stupid. It will drop every day in increments until they get to their base income. It will go up briefly if they are in battles and win, but if they have no activity happen you can see their banks drop to a set number, like 5000 gold exactly, or 25000 gold exactly. So any money and extra troops you give them is just thrown away. At least thas how it was last time I played which I think was in v1.24-5 earlier this year. Hope Im not ruining the game for you. Still a good game, just has annoying hidden mechanics.
