This is a video about Gregory Crewdson's photography, specifically his book titled Twilight. Twilight made a powerful impression on me and I knew that I had to make a video to elaborate on my feelings about it. The photos Crewdson creates are absolutely gorgeous and imbued with a ~cinematic~ melancholy that you don't often see in pure stills photography. In fact, how he has the money to do any of these photobooks is an anomaly to me, but thank god he does. This video is another in my series about Photobooks (which is just called photobooks), so if you are interested in watching more videos like this, please check out the playlist on my channel. I've done videos on Daido Moriyama, a pioneering Japanese street photographer, and Herbie Yamaguchi, a Japanese doc photographer. He captured one of the most exciting parts of Tokyo before it was destroyed. If you would like to know more about that, I've got a video on my channel all about it.
I also don't like asking for people to share my videos, it feels selfish, but I would like people to watch them. So, if you enjoyed the video, share it with someone else who might enjoy it :)
edit: at 1;58 there were supposed to be 3 posters, not two, the export glitched. The second one was IT though.
