@@ricknineg - Not buying it. The base of the TZ building is noticeably bigger, something that wouldn't likely change in a re-dress. The angle of the roofs are different, something that wouldn't change even in a re-dress. Also, observe the size and count the tiles on the roof, this is where you can easily tell the significant size difference. Imagine taking the door on the BHB shack and moving it around to the side and you can quickly see that the side of the BHB shack is much smaller. The fireplace is different, and coming up at a different location relative to the position for each. Sorry, there are too many things wrong with your speculation and your support of your explanation is too minimal. The steepness of the roof angle was all I needed to see though, nobody is going to change trusses for a re-dress, at that point it is easier to start over.

Thank you to everyone for enjoying the video and supporting my channel by watching it! Some are commenting how the cabin is not the same. It is. I want to further clarify how in Hollywood it is very easy to remove pieces of a structure. You can easily swap out a chimney or make a wall planks versus logs. They usually use materials that look similar to wood or stone but are not wood or stone. Foam and lightweight material are used instead. In I Love Lucy, it was very common to use the same façade and remove and add windows and even at a wall section where there was a door before. This is a similar concept that they expanded upon in the 1960s. This is why you will see that the structure is overall the same but there is a missing chimney and then the porch is a little bit different. Other than that, the structure is the same.

The handle rotted away and was replaced in 1849 and the head was very rusty so i replaced it in 1994, but other than that it's the very same ax used by Washington himself. So... all the evidence shown says they are not the same cabin - different size, shape, materials, stone chimney vs stovepipe, raised porch vs low, square posts vs round, etc. You say all those parts were redressed. What is the (presumably unseen) part of the structure that remained the same? Is there any evidence at all suggesting that they are the same structure?

I had a long interview with Eddie Albert back in the early 1980s and one of the stories he told was about an episode of the Outer Limits where his character planned to give up city life and take his wife to live on a farm in the country. In typical OL form his plan went sideways even faster than it did in Hooterville, but an interesting coincidence had the hapless city couple meeting a stereotypical hayseed farmer played by Mr Hunnicutt. So you perhaps could draw crisscrossing lines between the CBS shows and the Outer Limits (which I believe aired on ABC stations). Actually the part of the story that Mr Albert enjoyed the most was following a huge attack by frogs on the soundstage. Enough frogs escaped to render the soundstage useless for several months because of the annoying chirping and croaking.

I hate to be 'that guy' but I'm not seeing it at all. Some of the reasons: 1) Roof angle is much steeper and taller on the Twilight Zone Cabin. 16 rows of shingles vs. about 8. This wouldn't be easy to change. 2) Chimney on the Clampett cabin, none on Twilight Zone and no smokestack pipe on the Clampett cabin. A minor discrepancy. 3) Trees near the cabin are totally different on the two shows (I suppose the cabin would've been easily moved from place to place, though. 4) Clampett cabin corners are built totally different. 5) Clampett cabin looks a lot more run down and ramshackle, and also cabin looks a bit smaller than the Twilight Zone cabin, which would match up well the shorter roof.

Amazing! I love stories like that. As I understand it, _Seinfeld_ was filmed on the exact sound stage spot as _The Dick Van Dyke Show_ living room. Rob Reiner insisted on that. At least, that's what I read. Fact or fiction?

This is my favorite episode of the Twliight Zone. Arthur Hunnicutt was a great character actor and he was famous for a very specific line he used in a movie, Red Badge of Courage. His line was; "A dog, a woman, an' a walnut tree Th' more yeh beat 'em, th' better they be!" Now that is truly Woke!. - Satire

I have looked at the two building images Rick. Although they are similar, I don't think they are the same building. First, the rake of the two roofs are different. The Zone roof has a steeper rake. Second, the Clampet sides are boards where the Zone cabin is logs. Third, the terrain around the two building is different. If it was the same building shot around the same time, the terrain would be very similar, including the mountains in the background would be visible in the background. Especially in the images where the actor is chopping wood. The large pine tree behind the cabin would also be visible. I think you missed on this one.

In the television/movie industry, they have their scales of economy just like all industries. For "twilight zone" connection. What about Jim Backus playing an old miner in the Brady Bunch on what looked like a Gun Smoke set, and having a very simular scene on Gilligan's island, in a dream sequence. Or maybe I am too much of a1960's TV junkie/geek?

Paramount did a great injustice to Quinton Reviews after the 38 hour review came out about Beverly Hillbillies. They claimed copyright on most of it and made it clear they would continue to strike any form of it while it's basically giving their content free advertisement and had no capability 'to replace the original' or 'cause loss of income' to the copyright holder.

I started off as an architect designing and building homes. Those are not the same buildings. Stereotypes of Appalachian homes but not the same. However your video is very interesting and thank you👍

The only thing I can think of to dispute the same universe theory is that Buddy Ebsen was in a Twilight Zone episode, so Jed couldn’t exist there.

I think the cabin from TZ had a much higher roof, if you compare them both at the 4:00 mark. The porches don't look the same either. Jeanette Nolan, who played Mrs. Simpson, was even younger. She had just turned 50 the month before the original air date, so she was likely 49 at the time of filming. She was a very versatile actress, playing a witch in a later hour-long TZ (also written by Earl Hamner) called "Jess-Belle".

This episode of TZ is one of my favorites. Both for the lesson/moral and because of Arthur Hunnicutt... The man was great in everything he acted in. One of his best roles was as the deputy Bull in the John Wayne film El Dorado. I believe The Beverly Hillbillies and TZ were both CBS productions... So reuse of the cabin would make sense.

A CABIN is just a prop. Like a rifle, a hat, a chair or a thousand other things. Just items to be used.

Interesting take on the Beverly Hillbillies being in The Twilight Zone! Well done.

The woman that played Rachel in this episode I believe is the same actor who played Dirty Sally on Gunsmoke that spun off on it's own.

If it is identical rather than just similar you should be able to use the roof shakes like a fingerprint. I did exactly that process (not here) in identifying a house in New Zealand for my book The Bungalow in New Zealand. I was able to take a much-used uncaptioned photo of an unidentified New Zealand bungalow, and, using my expertise, to find the building and track down its builder, date of construction, and its original owner, who happened to be in the photo. The machine-made shingles on the bay window were a perfect match. Curiously, having travelled the length of the country (and overseas) researching the book, I found the house exactly where I expected it to be, just a mile from my own home.

I've been a huge fan of The Twilight Zone since I was a kid. One of my proudest moments was getting to meet and shake the hand of Rod Serling when he gave a speech at my college in 1971 or1972. The Beverly Hillbillies was a bit too corny for me, but I know a lot of people loved it.

Absolutely didn't know the cabin was also for one of my favorite programs The Beverly Hillbillies.

Well, if you actually look at the cabins, they’re both different. Different construction, different fireplaces, one is much larger than the other……(Clampett is smaller).
