I love your comment ❤ I feel that way about my home area too. Gah coincidentally too Philly area where David Lynch is from. It's funny, I am nano-degrees from certain associations my whole life yet never knew what outside of my hoagie bubble. I've performed and hung out at PAFA, with people students/alumni/etc. and saw some of Lynch's pencil drawings hanging at my ex boyfriend's Mom's in the back stairwell slowly getting cigarette smoke stained since they were both art students together. Everyone around me my whole life I guess was really into David Lynch especially with him being from our hometown, well before Philly ever won a Superbowl. I remember this Twin Peaks theme with the trees all spooky like photographic memory though. I was so very little, I was born in '85. My Mom and fam were into this show and some others coming on, and I learned to read via the TV guide so remember seeing it listed too. I hadn't a clue what a David Lynch was but knew those eerie trees and the eerie music that feels like the '90's hazy in all its staticy-hair glory ⚡

Nothing will ever come close to this as a show or community. Not even things like Star Trek or Star Wars in it’s prime. Twin Peaks created a real place we BELIVE in. People and warmth I have never felt watching something before. Though some have died, they are alive here and always will be.

I watched some of this show as a 7- year old in 1989. It was strange despite me being to young for it.
