@@DeceleratedTravel Most people just give a smattering and it doesn't covey the reputation of this route. You really have either do it yourself or see the turn by turn progress in order to really get it. Half was hilly and half was flatty... with transitions in-between. I liked it allot. I would have liked to have seen a map with your starting point and periodic progress. It is far more engaging, especially in a long video like this. What I found very interesting was the clouds over the hills but not over the flat lands. Hills allow for the necessary thermal convection from the increased surface area exposure to radiant sunlight, that forms the clouds. You see thermal clouds accumulating in the distance on a sunny day, that means hills are ahead. Gord

Is this route showing all 3 of the twisted sisters? Planning on heading out there at the end of the month with my sports car to test out the curves.

I think it was, but honestly it was long enough ago that I don't completely remember. You'll have a great time, it's a nice drive.

Whats the best starting point for this ride?
@DeceleratedTravel

You will probably like all of the different options. I thought the parts of the ride near Leakey were the best. I think most people like to start near Kerrville or Medina. If you are camping try Garner or sometimes I find cheap hotels in Junction. I hope you have a great ride!

At 1:22:45 was that a deer or a prong horn antelope that crossed the road?

I think it was a regular deer? There are tons of them.

Het DT I love the channel and I really like this video. But there are a LOT of ads on it. It's almost three hours, that means dozens of ads interruptions. There are so many ads I jumped out. Maybe you can adjust your settings? There seem to be more ads on this video than usual. Thanks

@@DeceleratedTravel Yeah you guys are one of my favorites. You have every right to get those google dollars and I appreciate all the hard work and miles it takes to make these videos. So, nothing but love, I just think KZitem tagged this video with max ads and you got the short end of the algorithm.
