A variation on twisted tubular herringbone - with pretty, spring coloured crystal bicones as accents spiralling around the outside of the tube. It's also a great way of mixing your gemstones in with your beadwork. We all know beadwork takes time and the simple addition of a couple of gemstones either end, cuts down on hours of beading!
If you want to learn about regular tubular herringbone before you give this one a go, have a look at this tutorial of mine:
• Tubular Herringbone St...
And I have another on twisted tubular herringbone - without the added extra accenting sparkle:
• Twisted Tubular Herrin...
Materials used:
11/0 Miyuki Seed Beads - Pearl Ceylon
A selection of as many different coloured 3mm bicones as you wish!
I used Peridot Glitter, Matt Tanzanite, Matt Blue Zircon, Matt Peridot, Violet AB and Caribbean Sea (All Preciosa)
A couple of 6 or 8mm gemstones for the ends - optional! I just like to use up some of my gemstone stash along with my seed bead makes.
Beading Thread, a beading needle and a clasp are all required too!
As always, I'd love to see your own version if you give this one a go - so please either tag me in a post or post a picture to my facebook page.
