This video shows you how to use soft hair brush, such as "baby hair" brush, to draw. You may purchase a traditional baby hair at www.BlueHeronArts.com .
Love this type of video that shows the little tips and tricks that too many people take for granted and don't think to explain to us beginners! Thanks!

Thank you for sharing what you know about this expression. I'm humbled that this art goes back so many years, passing on a specific sense of being in tune with a wholeness & mystery in nature, along with certain ancient, revered tools, media & openness, of which we are a part, to the levels that we allow and seek to feel and inhabit for now. How lovely is the chance and choice to receive a way to express, to fill this moment and perhaps pass it further on. Thank you for your time and generosity.

Yes, I was talking a lot in this video(1/3 are cut out diue to timeout limit). Did you check the connection between the speaker and the computer? Try "twist" the plug a little bit in and out and see if that helps. Hope you can hear the sound now.

Hello All, Hello Shifu! I have a question. I assume that traditionally people where sitting on the floor and painting on the floor? Whether its is the case or not? Studying in Japan, we love to sit on the tatami, it is a great feeling to be grounded, even tho the energy is not flowing straight from our feet.I know often we twist our body, I am aware we could sit centered too. Any recommendation? And is kungfu, or through the movement, we learn to remain centered and celebrate the Chi. Do you also consider it can add dynamism to the flow? Or should we correct our posture?

It was the case maybe 1000 years ago but not since the Song Dynasty in China. We do mobilize the Qi from bottom up. Here is Victori's video lecture on Qigong and calligraphy kzitem.info/news/bejne/0ptqv3yQs4aCpZg

It has been a long time since you made this video, but I was wondering maybe you remember if you were working on cooked or half cooked paper? It does not look like raw to me, but I thought I should ask. I am a beginner, so I can not tell exactly. Thank you in advance. Great video. I will definitely be practicing the twisting movements. Even in my wayercolor painting as well!
