The second adult content is officially integrated into the site, every advertiser targeting 13-17 year olds, families, etc, would pull out, leaving Twitch with just 18+ ads (which do not pay well at all). They'd lose well over 95% of their ad revenue. You might think advertisers will just pull ads from streams categorized as 18+, but that's not how most advertisers work, the ENTIRE domain has to meet their standards, because they do not want to be associated to that kind of content in any way. There's also legal issues regarding adult sites as well, Twitch would be banned in some regions, and "regulated" in others. If a country will ban a video game for being too violent or sexual, you can bet your ass they'll ban a very popular adult website with the facade of a "normal brand friendly streaming site".

Surprising take. I get where Lud is coming from. Sure, bans and Twitch are inconsistent and frustrating, but I hope everyone can understand the difference between showing a private part as apposed to maliciously hate raiding someone else to tear them down for little to no reason. Yeah, both go against the ToS but it's like someone breaking the law by going 30 miles per hour over the speed limit and another person purposely crashing their car into someone else since that other person's car is...I don't know, purple. You'd probably be a lot more comfortable letting the person who broke the speed limit back on the road rather than the person ramming their car into other vehicles. Sure, maybe the people who were in the wreck settled things but not a lot of good faith to go off of if someone was so quick to do something so harmful. Maybe they won't do the exact same thing again but could very well do something similar. Especially like Lud said, they have been pretty disingenuous since the whole fallout of the situation. Should these streamers move to another platform? Yes. Should you be unbanned for sending malicious hate raids and creating week-long harassment campaigns against other content creators? No. The whole twitch is sexist thing comes off as a disingenuous attempt to shift blame onto others while never actually addressing his wrong doing.

From what I understood from your last video regarding this creator, he weaponized his audience to attack both Poki and her audience (his audience were dming her audience members directly to harass them?). While they might have made up, that's an entire community of people who will likely never get an apology and were harassed for no reason. So the longer initial ban makes sense. Then, to follow that up, his behavior on social media doesn't show any change in intent or attitude, with him weaponizing his audience again. If Poki had to deal with that for a month, and he didn't show remorse to begin with, it's hard to believe he's changed at all or as you mentioned, really acknowledge his fault. It would feel more like a fake apology to appease the masses. Meanwhile, all the girls mentioned, while they did break TOS and were banned for inconsistent amounts of time, none of them attacked or brought that to another streamer's chat, no one else was effected except their own viewership (who likely knew what they were coming for). So both the crime and the punishment are less than. A simpler example for the two violations of TOS would be: outwardly expressing hate vs keeping it internal. Neither particularly good, but one effects other people and is therefore worse. Thank you for always breaking down the tea, always enjoy your videos. Though I believe a major point was missed here. Unless there's more relevant evidence (for instance, if a female streamer hate-raided a male streamers chat and was given a softer punishment), I don't see how this particular decision is sexist or racist. Though I'm sure there are many internal biases at Twitch and am not trying to defend them as a company. (Please don't harass me for this comment, it's just discussion from what I understand T.T)
@hogui3150

Lol your delusional and biased af. He showed remorse multiple times and apologized to Poki multiple times and even be friended her after the ban. You saying he hasn’t changed is just a complete lie when he’s literally brought up the ban multiple times on stream as an example of how wrong it was. E And each time he brings it up in his streams he always explains how bad it was and how what he did was wrong but u wouldn’t know that because your biased and don’t actually watch him yet you feel the need to comment on someone you don’t know. Stop acting like he didn’t apologize and is just doing the same trolling bullshit he was doing before it’s bad faith af. Also he has grown from it, what major controversy has he been after that ban? None. The only one was the tommyinnit and he was the victim in that one. Also your excuse for the female streamers not getting permafrost is horrible and it just goes to show how biased you are. Just because someone hasn’t caused “any harm to other streamers” doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get permad? You do realize theirs multiple ways to get permad right and people have gotten permad for way less than “causing hate to other streamers” like Dr Disrespect. If you SEVERELY break TOS you will be perma banned and a lot of female streamers like this girl, have done that YET THEIR NOT PERMA BANNED. If you think having literal sex on a live stream which is pretty much just full on porn ISNT deserving of a perma then ur just delusional lol. I Gurantee if this was Jidion showing himself having sex LIVE, YOU would be advocating for a perma because of your bias. Also female streamers have caused harm to other ppl plenty of times😂 yet never get banned for it. A female streamer literally said she wanted to shoot up twitch HQ which is a severe violation of TOS yet NEVER got perma banned for it, she only got 22 days. Pokimane attacked a guys sponsors and got him harassed yet never got permad or even banned for it which is an extreme violation of TOS yet NEVER got banned for it. But when a man even slightly breaks tos they get harsh bans like xqc and Kai cenat. Female streamers severely break TOS all the time like poki,this girl and the girl who Said she was gonna shoot up twitch, yet never get any good punishment for it yet male streamers constantly get banned for the smallest things. It’s sexism and Jidion is right but your too biased to see it. Stop making Excuses

There's also the aspect that Pokemaine could very easily have been forced into a situation where accepting the apology was the only viable option. I'd have to agree, it could just boil down to Twitch not "liking" him, or more so them not having confidence in him to maintain "good behaviour". The key difference between his ban and the others, is that they aren't rallying their audience to protest their justified ban. It also doesn't help that the person he was targeting was one of the largest influencers on the platform, an influencer associated to large brands and sponsors. It's very possible it's not just Twitch that's keeping Jideon banned, but it's also large advertisers "blacklisting" him and threatening to pull out of Twitch if he remains on the platform. He's proving himself to be a brand risk, a liability. Big advertisers do not want to be associated with that kind of behavior, especially if it's plastered all over the internet for weeks. This is why I wish Jideon would just chill out, because Twitch is the least of his concerns. The longer he goes on, the more advertisers and large companies will notice and recognize him as a "bad apple", and will completely avoid associating with him for the indefinite future (a real life business ban).

The new communities on Twitch and KZitem that aren't brand friendly are bad for those brands - period. This whole world revolves around advertising dollars and no amount of subscription/member fees will change that. It does not matter that these new communities who arent brand friendly are majority black creators... you cant play the race card out of being toxic. Platforms just need to set their guidelines and follow them to the letter. When something new happens that isnt covered in their guidelines they need to act decisively and add the decision to the guidelines.

So the conclusion are KZitem = favoritism Twitch = SIMP That sounds about right, I guess

I think that there is a reason why Twitch banned the word "simp" being used. It's because that word hits too close to home to a lot of the higher ups at Twitch. There is undoubtably favoritism towards specific women that stream on Twitch. I just want rules to be enforced equally for all people.

This won't stop until a mass boycott is formed among big streamers, small streamers, and viewers. If we all organized to stop streaming and viewing streams for a few days it'd force their hand into creating standards for bans and suspensions. It's about the only thing we haven't tried. Maybe if that was successful youtube would take notice and implement similar standards.

I’m happy that the video Cory made actually influenced a lot of people especially JiDion.

2 things can be true at the same time. The points that jidion are making can still be accurate regardless of how he trolls twitch or his behavior towards them.
