It's mid-September now and the days are shorter and cooler, but it's one of my favourite times of year. Plenty of summer fish still available and there are far fewer bugs to bother you! Ian and I headed west, trailing my Orkney Longliner for a couple of days fishing and camping near Skye. No skate this time, but wall to wall spurdogs with fish to over 15lb plus the bonus of a decent tope (going to need a new landing net though!). We camped at the Sandaigs, a very pretty spot tucked away at the mouth of Loch Hourn.
