they do look good. im just wondering why she thinks any of it is low carb, over 75% of the calories on each plate are from carbs. she even has a playe loaded with rice and beans and calls it low carb.

Thank you for the alternative recipes, I am diabetic and over weight even though I am very active and don't think I eat 'bad', I do eat alot of carbs. I have to eat w/o wheat as I am allergic to that. I found out recently that I have a hormone imbalance, my body does not produce ANY testosterone! AND that my thyroid does not work. Since getting those things treated, I have been feeling SO much better! Now I have decided to focus on cutting my carbs, sugar, by at least half. Increasing protein and fiber and not eating anything artificial. Since I now how energy and feel better I have been using my treadmill one mile a day. I hope over time I can lose 20 lbs and reverse the diabetes. Just starting that journey! Your recipes will help me alot! DO NOT listen to the naysayers, they can just go away! :)

Both dinners look delicious. I love them both but the one with the chicken and the egg mixed in is so different I would love to make i. Your recipes are always easy to find the ingredients we need. That's what I love. And the food is just the best you can eat. Thanks so much for sharing your Abuela's recipe with us. No wonder you're such a great cook. It's in the genes.👍😋

So glad for your channel. I ordered tacos and bean/cheese burritos from Taco B. a few weeks ago ...the most disgusting product ever put out. No more, i'm only making it from home from now on....back in the day when it was cheaper .. it wasn't horrible bad, but today the more it costs the worse it is ☹️. Thanks for your channel 👍🏼.

Love your recipes Angelica. We are avid campers so just a bit of a warning. If you are using a gas stove with a butane canister, the manufacturers recommend that the pot or pan is not so big that it is over the canister. And especially you are using cast iron. Please take care. Thank you for these delicious recipes.

Really they are all good, I just prefer not to use canned premade stuff. However, in a pinch these recipes are really nice. And! Still looking forward to your second cookbook!

For those needing to watch the starch/carbohydrates (like me, now) if you cook and then refrigerate your rice, potatoes, pasta (any starch) it converts the starch into resistant starch. Even after reheating, it remains resistant starch.
