On the afternoon of Thursday (16 May) Firefighters were called to an incident involving a double-decker bus fire on Vicar Lane in #Leeds
The emergency services had cordoned off a section of Vicar Lane, outside the Travelodge hotel, after smoke was seen billowing from the top windows of the double decker bus.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called today at 13.47 to reports of a bus on fire on Vicar Lane in Leeds.
"We sent two crews, Leeds and Hunslet who extinguished the fire, which was on the first floor.”
West Yorkshire Police have said: "At 1.57pm today, police were contacted by the fire service who were attending a fire on a double-decker bus in Vicar Lane in Leeds city centre.
"There were no casualties, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
"Firefighters believe the cause to be malicious and officers are liaising with them to establish the circumstances."
