I backed Octobriana a minute ago and it was already at $18,143 of your $5,000 goal! I am excited to see the print copy and the Process Zine. The process piece is a great addition.

Fell into a depression and haven't been interested in comics for months, but that kickstarter teaser (which I backed) might bring me back soon. Good shit 👊🏿

Thank you guys once again! You've reminded me how much I love Rick Veitch, and how there's more of his stuff out there that I need to check out! Bratpack was a mind-blowing find back in the day... Just bought the only copy of Two-Fisted Zombies I could find on Ebay! Jim, looking forward to Octobriana, I'm all signed up for it! Keep up the great work gentlemen, it's much appreciated out here!

Can anyone recommend resources for learning how to make comics? I'm trying to make a graphic novel and you never realize how much though goes into each frame until you actually try it... I picked up "Framed Ink".... anything else out there? (BESIDES THIS AMAZING CHANNEL OF COURSE)

Rupoe, this channel has covered the Will Eisner and Scott McCloud books. For anatomy, I think they mentioned Andrew Loomis and George Bridgeman. If you can catch the streams of either of them drawing, it may demystify it a bit for you. Your citing Framed Ink makes me wonder if you've checked out Richard Friend's KZitem channel. He talks a lot about process and has done some video critiques of artists' comic pages. There are some reviews of the same sort of thing by Jim Lee on his channel. It's eye-opening to see either one of these guys suggest the tiniest of changes in a layout that dramatically enhances the story telling. There are a whole lot of resources and lists of recommended books at the command of a google. Look forward to seeing your work in a future mailbag!

Great breakdown of each page of this underground comic I just thought it was kind of weird that there was no mention of the Punisher assassin character resembling Punisher and coming out a year before Punisher was published plus the one panel near the end of the book that literally has the Punisher skull on the chest of a character in this book it's only one panel but oh my God that literally is The Punisher before there was a Punisher at Marvel Comics so is this the first appearance of the Punisher in Cameo?

I see a damaged DNA pattern that goes right up to FUKITOR. Is there a chance of a deep dive or a shoot interview with Karns? Also, Congrats to Jim! Yow!

Having never seen this comic before, almost all the characters look like New Gods analogues. The one you mentioned as Thor-esque is straight up Lightray, Bryan Gumbel-hair is Dr. Bedlam, the giant head on the 2 pages spread is Mokkari, the whole environment is Apokolips, etc.
