WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) - One woman has achieved the remarkable feat of participating in both the 2020 and 2024 Olympics, as well as hunting pythons.
CBS12 News interviewed Lara Dallman-Weiss, a two-time Olympic sailor, on Sunday morning.
Lara told CBS12's Stefany Valderrama that she had the best time competing against other nations at the 2024 Paris Olympics and encouraged people to view or take part in the Olympics.
Lara mentioned that she has also taken up python hunting to help the environment, applying her athlete mindset to the challenge.
She explained that spotting the python is the hardest part, especially since they are caught at night, and mentioned that her strength training has been beneficial when wrestling with the pythons.
The largest snake she has caught to date is an 11-foot python, and she is excited to participate in the 2025 Florida Python Challenge
