I think your drip tray is in backwards. The little loop goes to the back.

I have Copperhead series 3 and 5. I Just replaced the controller in my PBV4PS2 that goes to my granddaughter. I've been running my Copperheads for over 3 years.

Hey I just commented on one of your other videos, but this one is more recent, your drip tray is in backwards (the thing just above the water pan with the slits in it) the little thing that looks like a handle is actually a spacer to keep it away from the back wall. I made the same mistake with my smoker and all the grease dripped forward to the door, if you but it the other way it all drips toward the back towards the grease catch can

That's right. I also made the same mistake with mine. I had a pretty huge mess of grease all down the front of my smoker since I did an overnight cook, I didn't catch it til the next morning. This unfortunately is the way I bought it from Lowe's (pre-assembled). I have since went back to them and all of them were the same. I told the manager and they corrected them.

Also with the drip pan always make sure after each cook you clean out the passage from the grease trough to grease trap because if you dont it will catch fire like mine did after 4 smoke sessions.

I have the Pit Boss Series 3 for over a year. I always foil my water pan. Clean out is much easier. Second tip is I removed the safety grid on the hopper. The reason they put that on is to keep you from sticking your fingers in the auger when it’s running. I think a wise person would exercise some common sense not to do that. Much easier to level the pellets.

Takeout the stupid safety grid. If you're dumb enough to stick your fingers in a moving auger I guess you deserve to get them pinched. Like anything caution must be exercised. Better known as common sense.
