Hi, I just want to thank you for all your videos and podcasts. I recently bought your book, ‘Victors adventures in Spain’ , which is absolutely perfect for me. I have a couple of Spanish friends in Cuenca who both teach English and I’ve told them all about you. They are impressed! Please continue the good work, your enthusiasm is inspiring!

@@LightSpeedSpanishChannel Ah sí, pero en la oración completa ''Me faltan cinco huevos para hacer el omelette'', ¿los dos podrían llevar el mismo significado no?

I spent a good 20 minutes after watching this video trying to calculate in my head why or how "Me haces falta" = ''I need you" without success🤣. Would it be fair to say it's just one of those things that one should accept as being as it is? Very good video though, brilliant!

I'll help you: Me -haces falta= To me - you're missing. Le -hago falta = To him/her - I'm missing. Nos -haces falta = To us - you are missing. Cx

I agree with you. We just have to accept it as it is...The combination of words does not make sense to english speakers. You may have to watch or read different articles to fully understand it. Here is my example... Conjugate the verb hacer as you would in present tense (or past). Present=hago, haces, hace, hacemos and haces. Now, here are your pronouns Me (I) , te (you), le (he, she, you) nos (we) and les (they). Examples: Me haces falta=I miss you. Te hago falta?=Do you miss me? Nos hacen falta=we miss them. Le hacemos falta=He/she misses us. The pronoun tells who is missing the other person. The conjugated verb (hacer) tells who the pronoun is missing. If you already understand the conjugated verb (hacer), the conjugation makes sense.

@@LightSpeedSpanishChannel I see, that actually makes sense now. Still going to have to practice this a lot, but thank you so much!

@@iamwinningrightnow Right, I see. Actually this is a good example too. Especially if you stick a noun into one like "¿Nos hacen falta huevos?" for example. The addition of a noun just helps to explain why it makes sense using your explanation. Thanks heaps, much appreciated! 👍
