Trinidad Jame$ wasn't the source of inspiration for the design Tyga's Last Kings flagship store in Los Angeles (Feb. 20). For the shop's grand opening, the YMCMB signee unleashed his inner Pharoah, adorning the walls and shelves with all gold everything and Egyptian motifs, fitting of his King Gold Chains persona. It was actually a French tourist attraction that attracted such interior design.
"We were on tour about two years ago and we were overseas. We went to the Louvre museum and when I walked in, I was like, 'Man, I gotta have a house like this, the inside of cars like this," he recalls of his experience abroad.
But T-Raww's Venetian Hotel-esque ceiling painting and throne-appropriate decor aren't the store's only standout qualities. Last Kings is also equipped with name brands, including Chris Brown's line Black Pyramid. The in-store support for his long-time friend and frequent collaborator (who will be dropping a Fan of a Fan 2 album with Tyga this year, btw) came after talks years ago of the two collaborating on a store.
