I had that little gap at the corners on the back also when I installed mine yesterday on a Tacoma Sport SB. I found the rail ends where the locking pins go in to be bent up a bit. This let the back of the cover lift a bit when I let it go after locking. The metal part of the rail was about 3mm higher than the plastic cap that goes on the end of the rail. I tapped this down lightly with a block of wood to make it even with the plastic cap. This made the seal much better. I still had the slightest of gap at the tail gate. I ended up shimming the locking pin with a 1 mm piece of plastic. I super glued this onto the pin. Now the seal is perfect. The gasket just kisses the tailgate. When I put a piece of paper between the tailgate and the gasket I get the slightest drag when pulling it out. I'll have to see how it holds up but it still locks and unlock perfectly. Hint: I see a lot of videos where people just pull the cable and let the cover flip up. You need to push down slightly on the cover when you pull the cable to unlock. This makes it easier to unlock but more importantly it helps take stress off the very ends of the locking pins avoiding damage.

That's clever thinking put the weather strip on the Tonto cover instead of the better the truck.

Thanks! I have line-x also, and was curious what would be the best way to apply the foam on the cab end. Looks like it is working good with it stuck to the cover. I'll go with that 👍

The weather strip that comes with the cover is supposed to be applied to the top of the bed (spray in bed liner or not) running side to side. It goes just inside the plastic top side piece running front to back. The stripping goes from the passanger side to driver side to fill in the gap between the cover and the top of the bed along the back window. You'll most likely have to cut about 6to 7 inches off.

Help ! I have mine installed. I can't get it to closed, to much tension. It closed and easily before I tightened down the clamps. One clamp I tightened to tight. I can tell, because it bowed the rail a little. How can I fix this?? Your son I'd adorable! I did adjust the the tension as suggested several times.

Great video, Tygers own video doesn't mention screws that lock rails to head rail. You took through a car wash, looks like it did fine. Would you take through once a week?

A relatively good demonstration flawed by poor sound quality. For all intents and purposes, because of the voice fading in and out, it may have been better to do a silent version and use captions. The photography was very good and good detail.
