Thanks for sharing this method of finishing off the warping. I have been having some trouble with the tying onto the sticks this looks a lot easier.

This probably wouldn't work with acrylic yarn as the knots slip.

Hi Kate, Would you please do a video (series) on how to get correct tension in the warp for longer items. I was weaving a 90" x 32" wrap and the center warps were impossible to tighten up enough once removed from the peg and snipped. I have seen videos on using a 3-4# weight, not snipping the end after removing from the peg, etc. No where online is there an explanation for how to tension long warps. THANK YOU!

Hi Kim, I am going to be doing a bunch more soon. So I will include one on that. If I am doing a wide warp I wind it in two lots - so your outside threads don't end up way longer than you center ones. Email me at sales@ashford.co.nz and I will send you a pdf that shows how :-)

??? Merci encore !😀

This would have been a great video, but unfortunately the background music made it very difficult for me to hear what you were saying and there were no captions. Also how many strands were in each bundle 1.36. Please cut the music. Hard of hearing/deaf people can’t understand what is being said when there is background noise.

I have used both methods and seen your videos on both methods. What determines whether you tie the ends to the front apron or use the slaying method?

no Zorro, I haven't. I think the slaying method is really good for when you are short on yarn..I like the tie on method more because I feel like I can control each "bundle" of threads better. How do you do it?

I use tie on because that is what my teacher showed me. I've only been weaving for a few months. Still a novice.
