@@DearBill because we are part Arab and Amazigh, we are still African since we literally LIVE in Africa, and half of us are literally black, especially people from the south, where i am originally from, (Zagora, Morocco) people have a dark skin colour, but i am white because my mom is white, but one of my brothers and my dad are black. we are very diverse, and we do not like people from the gulf, we look kind of European (Spanish, French, Portuguese) , because we were colonised by them for a really long time.

She deserves recognition and awards, but she did not deserve a reward for Afrobeats. She is a pop/amapiano artist. Ayra Starr and Tems are afrobeats artists and they aren't getting the recognition they deserve because Americans can't tell the difference in genres.

We as South Africans don't do Afrobeats.. We represent Amapiano that was started in the Townships of South Africa.. That's our culture..
