13:50 - 14:50 I really appreciated his perspective on Santa Claus. There was nothing 'soft' about his example-in fact, I found it to be a powerful demonstration of his high emotional intelligence, which is incredibly attractive. I completely agree that the Santa Claus story is a common way adults inadvertently crush children's imaginations and foster distrust when they reveal that he isn't real.
@laneneal3510
8 күн бұрын
I find Santa Claus is no different than children having childhood imagination we all grow out of. Right of passage. If a child was traumatized by that I’d question how they were raised and what else went on in that family. I remember when I learned Santa was just a story but I really wanted to believe. So I just kept it to myself that I knew it was a great story. I never told my friends. I was not traumatized just disappointed and didn’t call my parents liers.
@lovenspired
8 күн бұрын
@@laneneal3510 I get where you're coming from, but it's important to remember that not every child processes things the same way. What might have been a simple disappointment for you could feel like a breach of trust for someone else. Emotional experiences are deeply personal, and dismissing them as a ‘right of passage’ doesn’t acknowledge the complexity of a child’s emotions. It’s less about the story of Santa itself and more about the broader lesson kids take away-how they learn about trust and honesty from the people they rely on the most. Just because you weren’t affected doesn't mean others weren't impacted differently.

i think tricking a kid..is wrong and that's exactly what santa and easter bunnies do. its wrong and the day we all realize that; i think it could be very good to mental health of the next generation of kids. if they can't trust mom and dad to be honest no matter what; then they know early u are a traitor. And untrustworthy.

You can tell this gift does take a toll on him. He is basically experiencing life through this gift, and I really hope he gets to go out and truly enjoy his own as well. However, during this, he looks like he has something he really wants to say but is holding it back. He is in a position where he is always answering so many questions, but there are people who are listening. You are allowing people to have an open mind and making them believers. Rather the intention is there or not you have the ability to change the world for better. ❤ Thank you for doing what you do. You're an inspiration.

I learned when I was younger and throughout my life it is the messenger that gets abused. When I first experienced this I had to tell the wife of the people I was babysitting for that the husband kissed me and put his tongue in my mouth because that was the right thing to do she should know but she took it out on me and it was crushing because I liked her so much. And when I saw a friend's boyfriend cheating on her and I told her because she deserved to know I was the one that got abused. Often doing the right thing doesn't work so well on this planet.

@@Wendy-ov5hu 8 know my Daddy has been around numerous times since his passing. My youngest boy when he was about 7 or 8, saw him, despite him on assign way before I was ever a mom. I came home from work and was headed down our long hallway to change out my uniform. I popped my head into the playroom to let him know his brother and I were home when he told me, "That really nice man is waiting in your room." Instantly concerned, especially since my kids wouldn't even answer the door for anyone if I wasn't home, I asked him what man he was talking about. He just smiled and said. "I don't know. He's really tall, and super nice. He went to your room." I ushered my oldest son in with him, shut the door, and with my protection in hand, cautiously proceeded to my room at the end of the hall, calling out. "Who's here?" Looking like SWAT clearing a scene, I burst into my room, but none was there. My little guy couldn't really give any more information, and my oldest confirmed I'd had to unlock the door to come in... Several weeks passed, and while visiting with my mom, she brought out an old album to show the kids my pictures from growing up. We were also looking for pictures of my dad because my oldest is the spitting image. As my mom was turning pages T. Yelled. "That's him!" Pointing to a picture of my Dad. "That's your Grandpa." "No. That's the man who was at our house. That's the really nice man, Mom." I said, "Honey your grandpa is in heaven." He just said. "Yeah. He lives there." When I gave my mom the story, because she was a little confused, she just said, "Well, I'm sure he really wanted to know the boys."

She was on Air India flight 182 June 23, 1985 that was blown up. According to the investigation, passengers took 6 seconds to die from hypoxia. So I now live with knowing I made those 6 seconds even worse for her. Do I still feel/know/see whatever you want to call it - yes but I am a hot mess lol. My son died in Jan of this year. He had a serious heart condition at birth. He lived past 14 as doctors predicted till he was 40. He stole some years. We talked several times over the years about death. We agreed who ever went first had to let the other know they was ok. So my son couldn't work or do alot of things he wished to do. But his phone and computer was his communication. 28 hours after his death at 2 am, I in desperation asked him, Are you ok? And before I finished my question my phone beeped. At 2 am in the morning. Never happens. So I took that as his answer. Yes. Happy. Later that day after breakfast many more people sent condolences. I then remember the 2 am one. It said "Sending you Love". I never forget our conversations and his love.

Very curious about why we’re here where did we come from. He helped me very much to believe in myself and gain confidence. He told me one day he thought he had about gotten it figured out. It wasn’t long after that he transitioned. Are people as advanced as he was more or less likely to come through during a reading? I am desperate to connect. I’m so disappointed with this podcast. Tyler was amazing, as usual, but I cannot get over how much the hosts are completely disregarding things that he’s saying (38:10 is a great example of what I’m saying!) He was being so vulnerable, and as usual, they just went on to the next question or topic! Many missed opportunities. Tyler was being funny at different times too, yet neither one even acknowledged it because they were too worried about what *they* wanted to say/ask/bring up. This is the second time I’ve suffered this podcast, and won’t be back. I have never left a negative comment before either, as I try to be positive, but it is that bad that I finally felt the need to. Yall need to take a beat and actually listen to your guest(s) so that you can actively engage instead of question after question. Ask a question, let the guest answer, and even go off topic wherever that answer leads so that it feels more “flowy” and “natural.” Also, please stop interrupting/talking over each other (speaking to the two hosts), and your guests.

I am 64....I LOVE Christmas!! AND Santa Claus! Or as we called it in our country, Father Christmas. There's NOTING bad about growing up with Santa!! It is/was magical! Eventually you automatically start sussing that he's not real, but you STILL pretend that he is! Mine and most kids' lives, would have been SO much poorer without Santa in it! Most of us did not suffer when we figured out that he's not real! NONE of us are damaged by that! My grown up son and I still pretend that Santa left all those gifts under the tree, and just LOVE the magic of Christmas and Santa! WHY in God's name would anyone want to deprive any child of this magic in their childhood?? That's just mean and stupid and selfish! There's NOTHING wrong with injecting fun and fairy tale magic into a child's life! Heck, also not into an adult's life! I wouldn't wop Santa and Christmas for the world!! Ever! All these woke people wanting to ruin the magic of childhood and Christmas! Gat outta here! Pfffffffff! Leave Christmas and Santa alone! There, that's my rant for Santa. Go Santa!

What I get from what Tyler is saying and personally believe is after we die we evolve into a higher level of consciousness. The transition from our single own consciousness into everything else, no longer one but a whole collection of everything, which he describes as something much bigger than ourselves and as he says it’s complicated/hard to describe. There is so much more, a birth into a new level of consciousness. That no-one gets stuck. That no-one is stuck on the earthly plane of existence, they all transition.

When I was a hospice nurse, I was working with a family on enrolling their mother and I called the son Don out of nowhere and i apologized profusely cause I thought wow great job, you just called this man by a name you KNOW isn’t his name. It was embarrassing at first but went white as a sheet and said he’d tell me at another time what that meant to him. Well, a few weeks later he told me that his mother I enrolled in hospice actually adopted him and his bio parents had named him Don but she renamed him. I was blown away!

We all need to be aware everyone is differnt and that is neither good or bad it simply is and the fact of their fitting with your or not is not a reflection of worth but a reflection of fitting together or not like a puzzle. Every piece belongs just not necessarily next to or with each other.

I disagree with so many complaining about the female interviewer. It’s their podcast, and so it’s their job to ask questions and to keep the conversation going. Great job to both of you! Tyler is always a great interview, and these two have asked questions that other interviewers haven’t asked. New subscriber here!

Santa… one of my kids was seriously traumatized by the lie. I had assumed she already knew, but I gave her a letter when she was 12 describing what/who Santa is, metaphorically speaking. She was furious, hurt, and as an adult now, she still mentions how the whole lie still bothers her. My other child… total opposite.

I learned more about Tyler than in any other interview that I have heard in the past. Lauren asked more original questions than most people. Say what you will, she tapped into some good stuff.

First time seeing this show. Just wanted to comment about the Santa portion. The host Lauryn was so sure she was right and kept shutting down Michael. I felt like he was really trying to open up but you wouldn't chill a little and let him open up. I'm with you dude. Santa Claus, finding out he wasn't real was the first time I knew my mom lied to me. As a kid that was hard I couldn't understand why everyone would lie about some magical man that gave you presents. Why the lie. I was and still am very analytical so it didn't make sense why you couldn't just say you gave me the presents. I was pissed and felt like what else are you people lying to me about. It wasn't about Santa Claus it was about the lie and my little ego being told by my little friend it wasn't real feeling like an idiot. Its the trust eroded. Lauryn its ok you think its no big deal but at least be ok that he thought it was. We aren't always going to agree just know others have a different perspective. With love :)

On the health question: I dreamt a kitten and the overall message was if you see a kitten don’t touch it (which has never been my mentality) A month later: a woman came into my house at 10pm and told me I need to go to church…two days later she came into my home like a zombie with kittens wrapped in a blanket and one of them gave me lymes disease Point is being clairvoyant doesn’t always mean the message is 1000% clear Oh and once I noticed the lymes disease symptoms, I read up on how pharma just keeps lymes disease patients on an IV and lets them have the disease for 10 years plus. So I read NIH files on what different minerals each herb has and choose my own “holistic” treatment. It took 3 days for all the symptoms to completely disappear

I can so relate to the early years of knowing. I used to, and sometimes still do, answer people's questions before they asked. And often i still, upon physical contact with someone, just blurt out relevant communication. The most awkward was in check-out line at grocer. A woman and i teached for gum at the same time and S our hands touched, i burted, "You've decided. Get of the fence." She instantly started crying and explained to me she'd been asking her mom for a sign about a decision. Her mom used to always say that you can't just sit on a fence, you have to jump off on a side. When i turned back, the clerk was just staring at me. "Yeah. It's weird. Can we just..." Waving along my groceries. LOL! I so agree about children. I believe we're all born with that intuition but the world, Adults, push us away from it by telling us it's not real.

What an amazing interview! Great questions, and Tyler does such a good job at articulating such a difficult subject. I love it. Thank you for being a part in bringing subjects like this to the forefront like they should be imo, especially in such tumultuous times. We are all in this together! Love, patience, understanding and compassion need to overcome all of the hate, disregard, close mindedness, and division.

Hostess keeps asking questions that are out of place not pertinent to invited guest. She’s definitely mad at her her husband but disrespectful to Tyler!!!
