I avoid Drama Starters and Gossipers. They are TROUBLE MAKERS. I usually tell people when they come to me with a gossip that I discuss ideas and not individuals. It works every time- they immediately leave. I GET A HEAVY DOSE OF DRAMA FROM MY FAMILY AND HENCE DON'T NEED WORK DRAMA.

@@coffeepandacatnurses will always twist your name. It’s like the worst prank in high school that leaves you being laughed at in front of everyone. However, I believe in life karma. With that said, you leave and find a job elsewhere or change careers. Sadly this happens more often then it should. Administration needs to start deflecting the trouble makers to keep the compassionate.

I really don't mind the ones that tell me somebody is talking crap about me if that person is trustworthy. I've had a good friend tip me off about a bully who really was trying to spread really bad things about me as a power trip. I read that gossip is actually kind of a good thing sometimes because it can mean getting valuable intel (salaries, management issues, bullying, etc) and building a repertoire with coworkers depending on what the topics are. Not all gossip is equal. Not talking about shit stirring or shit talking people bc you wanna get ahead or something lol 😅

We have a narcissist who likes to play “I’m not at liberty to say” to get you to beg and tease it out of her. And when she spills the beans she’ll act like she kept her mouth shut “but while you’re on that topic” will call out the story indirectly with a follow up question. In front of everyone. That way she plays the gatekeeper-superior as well as the heroine who gets to say what no one dares to say.
