My absolute favourite mango is also “Starch”. Unfortunately, this type is not grown where I live. If I had to make 1 wish, it would be a basket full of these mangoes💜 🇹🇹🇬🇩

When I was a boy in T'dad back in the 1950s I was not aware of mango starch, the professor's favorite. We did have Julie, Calabash, mango rose and my absolute favorite, those small doo doos (not sure of the spelling). Regardless of the type, munching on a mango seed is pure heaven.

I love mangoes a lot. For some reason where I'm from in the hilly part of st Ann Jamaica we hardly get any. The trees are big n they blossom but on average they don't produce much fruit if any.

Some say it's the soil, some say it's because it's cooler, or we get 2 much rain or when we get it. . If it's a very dry year we get better yield . we have gotten only 5 or 6 showers since year with 2 of them being Sunday n yesterday. I saw fruit on Most trees but with the dry they have been falling off premature. Hopefully the rain has come the right time.
