*Arroz - it’s amazing your dedication to these monkeys. We were worried but we also know you have to take care of yourself first. Still it was a delight to see our monkey families in tact after such a storm. It’s hard to imagine they would do so well when you see so many big trees toppled over. And yet they do. God bless you for all that you do. It does not go unnoticed by us.*

William Buck I think they definitely get spooked when trees and branches around them fall but they clearly have a special way of coping with storms that we don’t even see and it’s working for them! I don’t believe they get scared in the same way humans do, maybe more just like a fear from some confusion as to why the winds were so fast or why there was so much water, etc. :)

How cool to get to virtually walk thru like that, thank you for taking the time to record and share! You can only wonder what they do and what they’re thinking _during_ the storm. At that elevation flooding obviously isn’t an issue but being that their comfort zone is in the trees I wonder if they ride it out in the trees or seek shelter elsewhere? They sure are resilient though, glad to see they’re all ok!

Arroz....TYSVM for giving us this update. I am so relieved that all our troop is doing well. I was worried about you getting through all the fallen trees and debris, but you did just fine! It was so scary to read about and see what was going on in Hong Kong. Here, in Arizona, where I live, we had 80+ mph winds as part of our monsoon season last month. Nothing like what you just went through, but a haboob touched down in my backyard and we watched trees being uprooted and it knocked down over 150 ft. of my block wall fence. Nothing like 10 hours in Hong Kong, but it was enough for me! I was really worried about our gang, but I just knew you would brave the trip to Monkey Hill, no matter what. Thanks for filming Reddy, Dopey, Dimpy, Martha, Billy, Bossy and my man Stumpy!!!! You rock!! Take care of yourself, my friend :) With their loving mothers and their Uncle Arroz, the babies of Monkey Hill are safe and blessed. Thanks, again!

@@donnawoodman6249 I guess I hadn't thought of it that way, but it makes perfect sense! I have a friend living there, and of course we've compared notes with regard to our obscenely opposing lifestyles! I live in the country, in Eastern Canada, in a (what we consider, small, 1800 sq ft)single family home, with my son, and 2 dog's. We have a couple of acres of land, and our nearest neighbours are deer, fox's and a few black bears. Whereas she lives on the 50-somethingth floor of a high-rise, in under 500 Sq ft, which is apparently spacious, there, and doesn't even own a car (I drive 30 minutes to buy milk)! Having never left North America, it's hard to visualise these things, but today's video was quite enlightening for me, thank you!
