I actually don't mind them showing the models the photo an advertiser would choose vs the ones they did. I think -- if this was a show that was seriously trying to make them better models instead of creating constant drama -- it could help them learn their "blind spots." It's really easy to think you're doing everything right when you could be doing something better if nobody shows you, and this is kind of an instant visual demonstration of that.

@firelady118

This one seems the most realistic so far, granted I'm only a few minutes in but I agree, I always do my own hair & Makeup. Most of the time I choose what to wear but when your paid to do a shoot sometimes the photographer has a certain concept in mind but at the same time they still work with you so usually it's messaging & talking sometimes months beforehand so you get all the details right but yes, most times we choose what we want to wear. I also think the greatest thing a photographer can do is if they notice your not relaxing your shoulders or something like that is to just tell the model to relax & have fun with it. When your able to relax & let go the photos come out so much better! Thank you for these videos Jessica!! I love them!! I'm so glad I never watched them back then because I probably wouldn't have ever gone into modeling at all and that would be a shame because it's helped me gain so much confidence in myself. It helped me get my self esteem back after a toxic marriage 💜

He was so shady during the UPN cycles. Perfect example is on Adrianne and Shannon’s IG live they did in 2020: someone asked Shannon why she was crying while she was sitting out of the nude shoot and she was like I watch it back & am not sure why I am blue and my eyes have tears in them. Adrianne blurted out “probably because I was all over the place… Jay said I just want to use you to make Robbyne upset” & Adrianne did not care for Robbyne so she was more than happy to get up in her grill during the nude shoot. Not to mention with Robbyne he shared an incident that happened off camera that Tyra was very unhappy about with Robbyne and Mr J. She took it as Robbyne flirting or being unprofessional with Mr J but it sounded very much like harmless joking. Only time I can think of that a contestant got sent home for an incident & cameras were not there to show us. I’m no Robbyne Stan or anything, but he was doing the most at times & stirred the pot.

@chrissyxx21

I was thinking that as soon as Jay mentioned it! It would have been less biased and less likely to predict who will win or who Tyra liked the most. Also, it would have been valuable for the girls to learn how to pick out their best photos for their portfolio for after the show. It feels like the earlier seasons were trying to actually produce models and then around season 3 (I think) things started to take a turn. If they continued on this path it would have been a wholesome show to come back to. Less psychological trauma and less cringe in hindsight.

Agreed with everything you said.👌 (And yes they definitely photoshopped her face. They made her jawline skinner and more angular. No reason in my opinion.)

Jessica, you're so sweet. If you had been the host instead of Tyra, it would have been such a better show

I like how Mercedes picked and out orange scarf to match the shoes! I wouldn’t have thought of that but it looked like a combo the wardrobe stylist would give her except she made that look herself ❤

So they're basically allowing them to pick their own photos only to be criticized based on what photo they wrongly chose? K.

Looking back at this show now I realize how negative the panel is. They hardly had anything good to say. if you are looking for an all encompassing model you have to give some positive feedback not just where they need improvements or nit-picking their flaws.
