Yes Tyrone has been a friend of mine for so many years now:) He was the most beautiful of men. Also one of our finest actors. He never won any awards, But his fans know he so deserved them. Daisy :)

Mr. Power never stopped striving as an actor. In the 50's--unhappy as a action hero (which he was wonderful at), he went back to the stage and was happier than any other time in his life. He went back frequently to the stage--didn't have to as he was making millions as an film actor. His whole being--like Larry here---strove upwards

Thanks so Much Jena, you know I adored this man when I was a very young girl. (Still Do)I recently visited his grave site in LA. Tyrone was a great actor and dedicated to perfecting every scene he was in. And a man with a beautiful soul. Daisy :)

This is exactly the type of role Tyrone Power fought so fiercely for. After so many costume pictures he wanted to be taken seriously as an actor. Unfortunately for him, he was prettier than a Tibetan sunset. Incredibly, one woman mentioned that Anne Baxter among others said he was even better looking off camera! This is why his real acting love was being a stage performer. There is an immediacy to the stage that trumps any film role. Fortunately through channels like these, we can see the other side of this poster boy nonpareil. A man of unique acting substance beyond the glitz and glitter.

Tyrone was the most remarkable actor to ever grace the screen. His beauty was not only on the outside but within...as he shows in this wonderful movie. In my humble opinion, no one comes close to him.

@daisydownunder A terrible oversight!! His performances in Razor's Edge and in This Above All were Oscar worthy as was Nightmare Alley. And I can not forget to mention his ability to make one laugh, he was good at that too. If you can't tell, I am a little of a Ty admirer. I have been since at the age of 9 (many, many years ago...lolol) I watched Blood and Sand with my mother. I 'fell in love" with him then.....and it's been that way since.

daisydownunder very good looking actors don't get awards. He should have played a role where he looks ugly. Then he would get an award.
