Think your completely missing the point with this hatman. This debut for ESPN had one purpose and you've said it yourself to impress the American public - its business. I'd be happy to see fury fight someone like pulev next, he's still on a come back trail. To be honest he could do with someone like Pulev, Povetkin, then maybe whyte - then Wilder.

This is why in the end MMA run by the UFC, if things continue to go as they are, will become the ultimate entertainment combat Sport. We wait months and months to see genuine contests, and we are fed like rubbish like this. Fighters refusing to fight one another even for serious money. Things got exciting for a while but things are becoming boring again as far as I'm concerned. Anthony Joshua lost and lost big last time out, but at least he had the stones to consistently take on genuine competition. The UFC is the only place where the best consistently fight the best without making you wait forever in between.

Rate the videos Hatman but this was a fight to build Fury’s profile in the US and it makes sense to put him in there with an opponent on Schwarz’s level. As ridiculous as it is Schwarz was rated number 2 in the WBO and Frank Warren has said in a boxing social interview that the next opponent in September will be a top 5 (presumably within the WBO rankings not top 5 overall) so maybe one more knock over and the winner of Joshua/Ruiz 2 next year could be on the cards if they don’t go down the Wilder route or if Whyte finally manages to become Wilder’s mandatory. I don’t think Fury vs Whyte/Rivas is going to happen especially given how much Whyte and Eddie are trying to pressure the WBC for the mandatory. I’m only speculating but if Fury is being manoeuvred for the WBO title by Bob and Frank then a keep busy fight while Joshua and Ruiz rematch is ok in my books.
@Sean-fb2fh

Also considering Fury has a multi fight deal with ESPN it is unrealistic to expect that they aren’t going to protect that investment for at least another fight, maybe 2 before splashing the cash on a mega fight late next year. It’s frustrating for boxing fans and everyone that wants the unification but unfortunately money talks and you get an audience since a lot of short sighted “fans” that want just want to see their man win. Just look at the muppets giving you heat for wanting Ruiz vs Wilder to unify and the fanboys case out crying. I would guess Fury will have a knock over in September and maybe go for the Ruiz/Joshua 2 winner next year but I don’t know and I just want to see the best fight the best

Unfortunately, I don't agree that it is so straightforward to view Whyte as a totally "free agent". Would he fight on another network if he was offered a ridiculous amount of money? Sure. But he will always have strong ties with Eddie (so Sky & DAZN) & Sky, and any other network / promoter considering dealing with him will be very wary of that. Hopefully Fury does start fighting better competition soon. Already it is frustrating that he is fighting low quality opponents. But I don't know how much of that is his fault and how much is the fault of the various promoters / networks. cheers JB

Who’s to say that in the period from 2015 to now that Tyson wouldn’t have already lost the belts if he didn’t go off the radar. Therefore he has no reason to be hyped up as a world champion. Being lineal champion is worthless and you wouldn’t see the all time greats bragging about being lineal. I’m not an AJ or Wilder fan by the way, I just want to see great fights being made (including Fury). I believe that he won the fight with Wilder and don’t appreciate this guy raving about fake championships when he could very easily win a real belt. When they said "reigning and defending lineal heavyweight champion" in his intro I just wanted to throw my phone across the room. The amount of interviews you see brick top slagging off matchroom about ripping off the fans then you hear this crap! Everyone else who has been the "lineal heavyweight champion" has also had this thing called a belt. I've said this for ages but if Lewis came back and fought guys from the pub would he be lineal champion again?

I admire Fury the boxer , great skills , great movement, massive heart etc ..... but not so keen on him as a person, he’s full of contradictions and lies. When he’s in a real competitive fight I’ll pay my hard earned cash to watch and not stream.

Marcus Thomas he is biased towards Joshua because he is from London and is black and I would assume Hartmann is black being from Brixton. I believe a fighter should be judged on his performance rather than race and what you like about a boxer personally

Well said Harman, salute. I honestly cant take much more of people comparing Fury to the likes of Ali and Foreman. Its fucking absurd. Is Fury talented? Definitely. Is he defensively slick? No doubt. Can he move well for a big man. Certainly. But is he a complete fighter. Not a chance!!!!. I literally think Kenny Bayless stepped in last night because Tyson couldn't finish him cleanly. It was actually a bit embarrassing watching Fury trying to KO Schwarz. You were also spot on about Schwarz being a disgrace against Gashi, an utter disgrace.

Ross Shannon he’s a professional boxer of course he’d hospitalise Hatman but he was gifted the intercontinental title and had no business being in there with fury, Tyson is the best heavyweight in the world but he needs to stop fighting bums and woop wilder again

Ross Shannon yeah he’s a good fighter of course won a title at intercontinental level but there’s a lot of people fury can fight maybe not on that exact date but he hasn’t fought Parker whyte povetkin Ortiz takam these are all credible opponents who could be a challenge for fury

Check out this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/x6JmzWyjp3albJw Do you know why Fury and Davidson wants to train Schwarz in England? I am a German and dont understand why? And you missed the best point (look the link and watch the video): Fury and Davidson claim AJ quit and Schwarz did not...even if Schwarz admits in the video that HE did quit. :D Sorry for my average english. Cheers

Shwarz is a BUM!! Simple as that. Fury only did what he was supposed to against this level of competition. Tyson is excellent. But you can look real good turning over tomato cans. And THAT is exactly what that geezer was!

Yeah we know that shwartz is a puddding but come on..... the Man was impressive .... forget the early win . If you know boxing you Just got to Admire his boxing skills . We know that Tyson has those skills but we Just see a man lose 10 stone then after 2 warm up fight go straight into fighting Wilder and Win (trutherly). This does Make Tyson the Best out there. I would suggest that Aj fight some bums but in the fight work on his defence.

AJ has taken the bigger risks yet doesn't get the same respect due to his loss, but you need to understand this was a keep busy fight for fury to keep him sharp whilst collecting a check, why not? AJ has made big money fighting lesser fighters but nothing compared to the level of shwarz. takam parker povetkin and ruiz are lightyears ahead of shwarz

After taking the Wilder fight last year after just 6 months back, I have absolutely no problem with Fury taking a easier test and using it to recover from the weight lose and Wilder fight and getting time with his new trainer and I like what I watch from Tyson last night, it's also necessary so he can be at his best to take on the best when he fights Wilder again, AJ could of fought Wilder and he didn't, Tyson has stepped up.
