This creamy chicken pockets or the creamy chicken bread pockets is very easy to make recipe and I can tell that every one in your family will love this recipe.
You can make this recipe in 30 to 40 minutes of time and the only time it takes is to cook the chicken.
A simple tomato sauce or chilli sauce goes well with this creamy chicken pockets | creamy chicken bread pockets.
This chicken pockets wouls bebso creamy and tasty and i can bet that you will not stop by just eating one only and would definitely crave for more.
Ingredients
To make shredded chicken
Boneless chicken - 500gms
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder - little
Water - 1.5 cups
To make creamy chicken
Butter - 1 tbsp
Onion - 1 med size
Maida - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1.5 cups
Black pepper - 1 tbsp
White pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Oregano - little
Italian herbs - little
Cheddar cheese - 1/4 cup
Parsely leaves or coriander leaves - handfull
To make chicken pockets
Bread slickes - 8 to 10
Oil - enough for frying
How to make Creamy chicken bread pockets
Wash the boneless chicken with salt and cut into small cubes.
Make shredded chicken
In a pan add 1 tbsp oil amd also add the chicken pieces. To this add the salt, turmeric, pepper powder and water.
Cook until the chicken becomes tender and water evaporates fully.
Now chop the chicken and make shredded chicken ans keep aside.
To make creamy chicken
In a pan add 1 tbsp of butter and once it is melted, add onion and sauté till it.becomes translucent.
Add the APF or maida and fry till it becomes golden in color.
To this add the milk slowly and keep mixing it until it comes creamy.
Now add the shredded chicken to this and mix well.
Also add the freshly ground black pepper powder, white peppee powder, oregano and italaian herbs. Give a quick mix.
Include the cheddar cheese now amd mix well. Though this step is optional, it gives a great taste to the chicken.
Finally add the parsely leaves or coriander leaves and mix. Switch off and cool down completely.
Make bread pockets
Remove the sides of the bread and flatten it using a rolling pin and make a thin sheets.
Place 1 tbsp of creamy chicken in one side and start rolling the bread.
Now close the bread by applying little maida paste and close tightly.
Also close the other two sides and seal it thightly using maida paste.
Now bread pockets are formed. Repeat the process for the other bread slices.
Frying the pockets
In a wok, add enough oil for frying and heat in medium flame.
When the oil is hot, add the pockets one by one and fry till all sides turns light brown.
Now filter oil and remove it.
Tasty creamy chicken bread pockets are ready to be served.
