Housing crisis triggers a market crash or a financial crisis, it could send shockwaves through the stock markets worldwide. I’m worried about my investment of over $600K stocks. Is this a time to consider diversifying my portfolios?

If the housing market takes a hit, it might lead to reduced consumer spending and overall economic instability. I advice you consult with a professional about your investment portfolio to enable you to take advantage of the downturns.

The housing market has always had its ups and downs, but it's true that this time feels different. Having a portfolio manager will save you a lot in the market. My coach has helped me expand my portfolio by 200% over the past few months.

There are many independent advisors to choose from. But I work with Glen Howard Chester and we've been working together for almost four years and he's fantastic. You could check him if he meets your requirements. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with

Agree, addressing supply is the root causeissue. By adding more demand curve does nop really help.

Houston is a mess, but its lack of zoning has allowed for the redevelopment of many neighborhoods into more affordable housing than in other cities.

Yes. Rethink Airbnb zoning. They have allowed a technology company to dictate to cities how hotels would be zoned. Start there.

Zoning is the primary factor in elevated land costs. Also, the hidden tax on houses, commomly known as impact fees are in most cases in the five figure and in some places have reaches six figures. In addition, property taxes and homeowners insurance have now become major costs in homeownership. A key element of the American Dream is slipping away, and if you analyse the above, it mainly a function of politics than anything else.

Tons of empty land, just use that to build new housing, instead of rezoning which only devalues existing neighborhoods.

Any Republican is the better choice on this issue. I mean if you want to know where Democrat housing policies get you then just look at the blue states where Democrats have controlled the government for many years. They're all unaffordable messes. If you care about housing affordability then you really need to be voting Republican all the way down the ticket.

Eliminate corporate investment in single family homes. Housing crisis fixed.

No that would just increase ownership of homes. It Wouldn’t do anything to help the shortage which is the real problem.
@adamharvey3524

@@Gmac_Greg_M The number of homes in the U.S. is not the issue. If you increase the supply of homes then you are setting yourself up for a housing surplus when the millennials have already purchased a home and the bulk of the baby boomers start moving into retirement homes/dying. Increasing the percentage of households that own their own home would be an a great thing for the economy long term. Price in the issue. Corporate investment dramatically increased the price of housing. Eliminate them from the market and the price of housing never would have exploded the way it did. This would also have stopped the massive increase in rent prices. Nothing good comes from corporate entities buying up single family homes.
