I am always amazed at how wise and articulate Bono was at such a young age! Such an old soul in a young man's body. I have grown up and older now to be 64, and I still love their music so much, and just marvel at how their rock band, really wanted to change the world for the better. I didn't really know in my 30's, how grand a man Bono was with such a genuinely compassionate spirit, who had such caring to change the world, and probably because I was still very immature myself, and didn't hear the bigger messages from their music.

Is it just me or do the Irish (especially from Dublin) have the KINDEST accents? Whenever I hear a Dublin accent, I just want to confide all my worries into that person. My parents are Irish immigrants from Dublin (I also have dual American-Irish citizenship, which has caused some severe identity issues) and I just love their accents and those of my Dublin family members...all of my very large family besides my brothers and parents live in Dublin and I live there during the summer.

I was at the Friday show in March 1985....we were right next to the stage. It was one of the most powerful rocks shows I've ever been to. That was the one and only time seeing U2. It was 12.50. Twelve dollars and fifty cents. They were a product of the MTV generation and in the right place at the right time. You will never see a band get as big as them again....never.

I know that Bono rags on his 80s mullet hairstyle at times but I never saw anything wrong with it, either back then or even now. It looked cool to me. I've seen worse mullets (spikes + straight combo, curly + afro, etc.). As for what he says in the video, he's RIGHT ON!! Love listening to him speak.

Yes, Bono and U2 have achevied alot but they worked very hard to where they got. It took them thousands of concerts before they got big. When i seen there 83 concert on VHS in Denver, I even told my own mother that this band is going to be big one day and I was right. I did meet Bono and the boys a few times since i have seen U2 13 times in concert since 1985. I told Bono that I wish I could work for him and he told me, " I wish I could work for you.I think he was trying to say it is hard work.

This is when I really liked Bono. My father was from Scotland and Mom's whole side of the family was Irish as she had a mother from Dungannon. I was raised Catholic and I could relate to this dude on so many different levels especially while I was in high school. You would see bands like Duran Duran and they just seemed not real and this guy was so normal. Anyway U2 War open my eyes to so much music and College radio. Before it was called alternative music it was called College music. From War I went on to Echo & the Bunnymen, INXS, REM, XTC, the Police, Elvis Costello, Blondie, the Alarm, The Cult, The Replacements, New Order, Tears 4 Fears, The Clash, PIL, Waterboys, etc etc etc the soundtrack of my youth

What a pity. Have a realationship with God and maybe you wouldnt be so unhappy and have bad things happen in your life and quit slamming on a wonderful human being.
