I wish I knew this technique years ago when I practiced Judo. It would have been one that would have come very naturally to me. Thanks for posting.

Kaishiwazaki threw Reismann, an uchimata expert, with this technique in the semifinals of the 1981 Judo world championships.

uchimata sukashi is the real name - uchimata gaeshi is a counter with a sidestep away from the sweeping leg followed by a tai otoshi style attack on uke's supporting leg

@affiliate30 if it took world titles to be 6thdan or above their wouldn't be that much...after 5th dan (in some coutries even earlier) you get your dans partly (but mostly) by working for a discipline (expansion, training champs etc...)

This is the counter for me, I am 2 meters tall and stepping over my opponent would be easy.
