Yep, you never really know how nice these light sources are until you lose power and remember you forgot to go buy batteries after you said you would after the last power outage.

If you only knew. I was once in a Hurricane Hugo and we lost power for 2 weeks. In the last month, here at home we've had 3 major outages. Last Saturday night we came home at 10:30 PM only to find 3 poles in front of our house knocked down and power crews in my yard. A fire truck earlier in the day had tore down those 3 poles when his ladder caught a low line. What pissed me off was I lost internet and couldn't watch Out West with Chris videos.

Not sure if we are thinking of the same product but ive seen commercials for a flashlight that runs on water and i havent heard great things so i would do some serious research before buying especially if its pricy. Ive heard great concept which it totally is but horrible execution. Good luck on it though man

I took a look at one at SHOT Show and it looks pretty legit. They demo'd it and explained how it worked and all that. In the end though, kinda have to buy it and use it to really get and idea of how good it is.

Hey brother, i have the original single candle and its works ok for its purpose. Wanted to bring up that ive been told the beeswax candles not only burn longer like you mentioned but the clean-up is alot easier as well. You gotta clean off wax after burning a candle down and the cheap(non uco) ones are a bitch to clean. It really got into the Spring. Wgile i myself havent used the beeswax candles i hear the clean-up bis next to nothing. I would love to hear your thoughts on that after youve used both. Also i read an article that may have been from BattlBox i cant remembet but i read that a solar lantern is a better alternative to a candle lantern especially in a long term situation or better yet a multi power such as the ones that can be solar, battery or even usb charged. Anyway thats my 2 cents. Another good video i gave you your 50th like which i believe deserves a prize. You know being number 50 and all LOL. Have good one brother and keep up the great work. 👍

That makes sense about the beeswax. It tends to burn way more efficiently so there should be less wax waste meaning less clean up! I do like the idea of solar, battery, charger lights as well. There is actually new lantern out that runs off of water, can't wait to try it out when I can get some scratch to purchase it. Very cool stuff! Thanks for watching!

thanks for the video. Quick question. were does the wax run off go and does it look like easy clean up? seriously thinking of getting one. here in Georgia we have been hit with a lot of storms lately

The wax doesn't run off, or at least it hasn't yet. It seems to just burn off. If it did run off I think cleaning would be simple, each of the cylinders that holds the candle detaches from the base so that should make cleaning pretty easy. Thanks for watching!

Hey Chris! I usually buy the uco candles as my candle source as they are pretty affordable. I'll check out your link if I decide this is something I'd like to have. Thanks for the info :)

Out West with Chris sounds good! I'll have to check that out. Amount of light aside, what's your opinion on this 3 candle version versus the original chandelier 1 candle version? Also have you heard about the Dave Canterbury UCO MORAKNIV collaboration bushcraft boxes?
@Outwestwithchris1

I never used the 1 candle version but I would think 3 candles would give off more light. I lit just one and there was a noticeable difference. I have seen pictures of the 1 candle version and they do seem more compact though. I did not hear about a DC/UCO/MORA box but that does sound interesting. Does it have a name?

Not sure if it's out officially yet but I saw it at shot show and thought you would be a good candidate to do a review on it... they would be lucky to have you do it so figured you could at the least contact them about it :)
