A direct performance comparison between Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5 of The Isle Evrima. Both versions were running on Epic settings at 1440p using RTX 4070 Ti, i5-13600K and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM.
DISCLAIMER: To ensure the similarity of the benchmarks, both versions use the same (Epic) in-game setting and both recordings were done in an almost empty server as the stress test server hasn't been full after embargo lifted. Only difference was that the ST server had daylight paused at midday and I don't know how much that affects performance other than sunrise and sunset tanks the performance. However I went back to UE4 server and I paused daytime to midday and ran the same tests but didn't use them in the video since the results were almost identical or slightly lower and I already had started editing.
