Hey everybody! This is the eighth lecture of my Pro Unreal Engine Class. The goal of this class is to take you from whatever your experience level is with Unreal or software development in general, all the way to the point where you're ready to get a job as a Game Developer. I am making sure to show every single step of the process and teach good habits from the start, but rest assured that all this tedium will pay off in the long run.
I'm a self taught Game Developer and know how miserable it can be to slog through KZitem Tutorials that don't cover everything you want to learn. My journey from installing Unreal all the way to getting a full time job in game development took over 2 years, and I'm hoping this class will mean yours won't take as long. In this one, we create the HSSGame Plugin and populate it with child classes that inherit from the CCSCore versions that we made in the previous videos. We then fill out each of the classes with boiler plate code.
Next up in the ninth lecture, we'll create the character blueprint, get it into the testing level, and actually press play so we can possess our created character. As always, thanks for watching and have a great day!
