Casey, you don’t know much about boxing if you think Canelo right now would’ve “whooped” Floyd in his prime. Floyd was a diminished version of what he once was when he faced Canelo, who already had more than 30 fights. What you don’t understand is that no one was able to hit Floyd. I don’t care how good your offense is. Canelo right now STILL wouldn’t be able to catch Floyd. And on top of that, Floyd was quicker and had more power in his prime. Canelo didn’t even beat GGG in their first fight. Most felt GGG won and that Canelo got favoritism from the judges. And GGG is slow and not a defensive fighter at all-the complete opposite of Floyd-and, like Floyd, wasn’t in his prime. And Canelo still couldn’t beat him in that fight. So, please, stop with that nonsense that Canelo would’ve beat Floyd.

@@JOSETV1 I just gave plenty support to backup what I said. You give nothing other than circular reasoning-if you even know what that is. OK, Jose… Floyd schooled Canelo in their fight, and I’m about to school you right now, since you want to use slang (incorrectly) and pretend like you really just said something. It’s not beat the “breaks” off someone. It’s BRAKES. Capisce? Or should I say, ¿Comprendes?

I disagree, Khamzat has good striking, and apparently he’s insanely powerful (which I believe). In his first 2 fights he told Dana “wait until you see my striking”… Like they 205er’s he trains with has a hard time with him, and the 170er’s and 70er’s can’t handle him. And he KO’d GM3 with one punch. And GM3 ate some HUGE shots in his last fight but was never KO’d but Khamzat KO’d him with one. Dudes a serious problem.

Mma journalists are far too biased when their favorite fighter loses. The fighter lost because the other guy was better. Not because he wore the wrong underwear or breathed through the wrong nostril during his walk to the octagon. The excuses about sabdhagen snd Jan are insane.

Why do people care if a color commentator is more animated calling a teammate's fight? Even if he started cheering aloud, "Yeah! Yeah! Go!" So what? As long as he's not yelling out instruction or isn't fixated on only one side of fight (like Joe Rogan does on a frequent basis), what's the big deal? They're not helping their fighter, they're not swaying the judges, and they're not painting a subjective picture to viewers about the Xs and Os of what's going on. I don't see what the problem is.

Burns is potentially the best BJJ practitioner in MMA right now, sparing maybe Charlie Olives or T-City. I don’t think anyone in the division poses any threat to Khamzat, even after 4 fights in the Octagon. Enter: Burns (invites people to the ground), and Usman (size, punching power and strength/wrestling ability to match). I think even Colby is too small and doesn’t have the pop in his punches to faze the Wolf. Strap in folks, the hype train is real and it’s coming to Kill everybody bratha.

This was a great card. the pacing to it was great. At least with 14 fights it wasnt like the Kayla Harrison vs Taylor Guarandino card at PFL. That went 13 hours. It started when Ariel Helwani had his MMA hour podcast. Glover is a great guy. He deserves it. He fought for it. He became a first time champ in his 21st UFC fight. He is 16-5. I think Jiri would have to fight one more time. I see Glover back around April or May. The question is does Jiri want to sit on ice for about a year. Glover has won 7 of his last 8 fights. He has a decision loss to Corey Anderson. Petr Yan made the UFCs marketing dept very happy. His win over Cory Sandhagen pretty much lock down a rematch with Aljo. I gave Cory round 2. Not made Petr won but the scorecard didnt describe the fight. Especially when Cory outstruck Petr 169-149.
