This isn't mainly directly about aliens, it's about Congressional oversight and violations of the law in that area. Secondly, even though the potential for alien contact isn't the main purpose of the hearing, it's still probably the most important topic EVER DISCUSSED IN A CONGRESSIONAL HEARING! Think about it, let's say these aliens are about 6000 years ahead of humans technologically. That's the same technological difference between the modern Western world and say uncontacted tribes in the Amazon or in New Guinea. Do you think if the US wanted to fully exploit or even destroy those tribal people they could do anything about it? Even though aliens aren't the main purpose of the hearing, don't blow off the information. This isn't science fiction, the US Government has officially confirmed that advanced aliens are not only real, but are here!!!!

@@gregchavez1534 I hope she is more _incisive_ with them behind closed doors. This whole thing has a ring of distraction to me. The People are rising up in the form of stopping the anticipated red wave last election cycle and unions are forming and striking. The rich people are -frightened-, the military has a new branch called "space force," and the Pentagon has a lot of unexplained money just "disappearing." Over one trillion dollars over the course of some years. I see this as a way to get the public scared and wanting a leader to take care of them, without being question. They want to be able to do things in secret, from the prying eyes of journalism and audits, like it was in the good ol' days before the information age. We've seen UFO and UAP reports for a long long time now. From "credible" professionals and lay people. I find it interesting to see the sightings, how the objects are described, getting more and more modern. Almost as if they are being developed nearby, let's say, here on Earth. Obviously, I'm dubious of these "whistleblowers." I want whistleblowers protected, but I don't want it to seen as a farce and cause the public to dismiss them out of hand. I so much what to believe that aliens are here on earth. I am 70 years old and have been interested in the topic since the late 60s. But nothing ever changes. It's all, well I was told by someone. Or, I saw something in the sky but I don't know what it is. So bottom line to me is this: I just don't think that the government is capable of a cover up of the magnitude. Too many people are involved. Some actual evidence would have come out after decades of such intense interest by so many people on the subject. And the reason that the DOJ will not cooperate is because, as has been show before, a lot of the sightings are of top secret military projects. One we now know of is the triangular shaped stealth bomber. Think of all the blurry triangular ufo photos we saw before the bomber was made public.

i think you misunderstood the technical details they were getting into, they were talking about IRAD which is a program that lets military contractors get paid to try out new designs and technology at a R&D level with no oversight before essentially pitching the idea to the military and hopefully receiving full funding. so he is saying they have been using this process to examine and research the alleged crashed vessels but haven't developed any concept enough to "pitch" a new technology to the military to see if they would want it , which is why it hasn't been reported. my big problem with that idea is that means that no one bothered to report it when the material was identified, retrieved and handed over to the military contractors which would've all been done by some official government branch like the military. companies don't generally go out and secure unknown crash sites and the idea that these companies would somehow be able to detect these crashes but the US military cant is insane, i guess that's where the "men in black" come into the conspiracy theory.

Ms. Cortez, I am so glad you are in this committee and taking this seriously. There is no question that the American people have been lied to about this topic since 1947 at the latest. Although the subject is still ridiculed in many circles, it is in fact the most pressing issue facing the Congress today, because it regards the utter undermining of our Democracy, and the probable suppression of technologies that could transfer society for the better and possibly solve the climate crisis. I am proud that you represent my city.

We need the list of hostile and non hostile personel and people in the open. This requiring a SCIF is like going to court and then saying you can only talk to the judge in private. It is sometimes required but now even the DoD assumes higher authority. As someone said, they need to be raided.

I'm a progressive Democrat and also a disabled submarine service veteran - and all I have to say to the UFO naysayers out there is "watch the Navy TicTac video" and understand what you're watching. There is NO way in hell that any aircraft on the face of the earth can perform those maneuvers, period. The alien craft even shoots under the water at one point and then pops back up, while losing no speed at all. This isn't "Q" nonsense, it's something that has been captured many times. It would be nice if there were more global government transparency regarding these events.

These guys are whistle blowers but too many of their stories begin with "I heard from someone else that...". I can only vaguely take their word for (with a grain of salt, so to speak) the encounters they personally experienced when 'on the job', at best. The rest is at this point unproven and therefore suspect until hard evidence is provided.

Well, I have to say this is all very interesting. I didn't watch the hearing because without proof there's not much to see, however it's all made for a good read so far. With my current understanding of physics I can't imagine that any of this is actually alien in nature however.

Perhaps. But some couldn't be human-piloted. If some can accelerate to mach 1.2 in a second, that would be around 35 gs of acceleration. And it appears this kind of extreme acceleration somehow doesn't produce any visible propellant, heat wash, or high-pressure wake, though it could just be that the quality of video/measurements were too low to pick up on that.
