I have a 0 degree UGQ Bandit and have had it for 5 years. Love that quilt. I should have gotten a longer size, that's the only issue. I'm 5'7" and it only comes up to my shoulders if I stretch out. You're right about having a good insulated pad too. I have had mine down to 12 degrees and still been warm with my winter sleeping pad. It's great being able to lay it flat like a blanket in warmer temps. Great review!

I made this video several years ago but I'm still just as pleased with this quilt. It is a top quality item without the inflated price tag. It's still going strong!

I just bought mine, 8-9 week lead, can’t wait. I had no idea I could watch them make the quilts, thank you for that. I’m really going to enjoy watching that. 😎

You have style and good taste. I have the exact quilt color and all except I went 1oz over stuff top and bottom. It survived Afghanistan 2019 and will go on the PCT 2021.

Great review and channel. New follower here. That is a great quilt. I ultimately bought an Enlightened Equipment, but, I had a hard time deciding between that and the UGQ. All the best, Crow

I am really glad I watched this video, I really like your idea of closing that hole in the foot box👍. I just ordered mine and was second guessing my decision on ordering the draw string foot Box option, thanks! Great video, very informative.

Nice! I know they have since added an optional shock cord down each side to help keep the sides tucked in when you have it snapped at the head. They are really a great company and put a lot of thought into their designs.

I did get the shock cord add on as well, it'll be a while before I get mine and take it out for a maiden voyage, but I'll try and update on what I think of it. I am lucky enough to have them in my backyard there located about 45 min West of me here in Michigan. I May even call them and see if I can pick it up after its made. Cut the whole mailing process out. Lol

I am looking into buying a UGQ 20 degree quilt, too. What fill power did you choose, 800, 850, 950? Awesome tips for using this quilt for the ultimate comfort. Did you find the 20F to be the comfort level?
@MtnWanderer-TieDye-

I chose the 10 degree, 800 fill bag. I used it down to around to 20 degrees and I was fine except for a little coolness around my shoulders. I attribute that to the lack of an insulated air pad. I do use a Nemo Switchback with the air pad and that helps. I think this bag could get me closer to the 10 degree mark with a good insulated air pad but I don't plan to hike in those temps so I'll stick with my current pads. I'm quite satisfied with the 20 degree performance. I wish I could try it out at a lower temp to see where the "cutoff" comfort level would be but we just don't get those temps here in MS. I hope this answers your question. 😀

Just chose the green Nemo aurora 2p over tungsten 2p. Very similar style n colors. Now I'm comparing quilts. What green is that? Is it lighter or darker than the vidio? Would you pick a different green if you could?
@MtnWanderer-TieDye-

The color is called Green Tea. I was very pleased with the choice and would choose again. I think the video shows the color pretty accurately but personal video settings on devices could alter what you see. It is nearly the same shade of green as the Klymit sleeping pad I was using at the time. Hope this helps!

I’m thinking about also getting a 10degree bag because I sleep cold. What temps is this good in? I’ll mostly have nights in the 30s. Will this be too warm?
@MtnWanderer-TieDye-

For me, this 10 degree bag is perfect for temps in the 30s. I can use it in the lower 50s (wearing shorts) with it unzipped as a quilt but I start to sweat through the night. I've used down into the teens with long pajamas and I was warm. I'm just an average sleeper, not cold or hot. Hope this helps!

@@MtnWanderer-TieDye- Thank you! i ordered a 0 degree quilt - just to be sure to stay warm. I am very cold sleeper and the extra weight is worth the comfort. But for me as european I always struggle with the Fahrenheit degrees- so I didnt realize how cold 10° F actually are 🙈
@MtnWanderer-TieDye-

Ha, ha! I struggle will Celsius so I understand. I almost went with the 0 but realized that I probably will never hike in conditions below 25 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm not a cold sleeper so that helps me. I hope you enjoy your quilt. I really love mine!
