Thanks Chronics. I try to tripod as much as I can.

Best video I have seen of that part of the tornado. You stayed back out of the rain and hail, unlike most chasers, and got the best view. Well done!

Thanks Craig. It's a fine line between leaving it on the tripod and filming on the move. This storm cooperated and left plenty of time to setup for the tripod.

You also stayed way behind Val Castor's disco lights car so nothing spoiled your great vid. Many thanks for sharing in 4k, youtube compression doesn't hurt that much in this resolution.

Storm movement was so slow. Very lucky this did not sit over Dimmit, but man they got the flooding rains north of there. Lots of cattle being rounded up today. I heard from my aunt who lives in Post, Texas and has worked for M&M Cattle Transport just north of Dimmit tell me they had over 1000 cattle that were missing and roaming open pastures. She also said severe damage to a few homes 1 mile north of Dimmit.

Thanks ThatStormEnthusiast. Wow, 22 years. When I was getting into position for yesterdays storm, I was remembering 1995. Driving through rain and gunge, then breaking out to view the base to my SW. Only difference was just a few miles to the west.

Excellent footage Bary, nice to see a tripod (or similar) used. Do you have any idea as to what the metal chimney-like thing is that is clearly seen on the left at about the 9 minute mark?.

Great video! Surprised they did not shut down the wind farm during this event...

Thanks Mark. Not sure what the wind company's do for events like this.

They can stop the blades and park them at an angle that keeps them from going too fast and potentially burning out the generator.

I think that's a bird. I'll look at the original footage to confirm.

Bary Nusz but honestly I dont think its a bird just because when theres tornados theres no animals out. everything goes real silent and real still before a tornado comes
