@EnochDark
3 жыл бұрын
@Shuaib Shabazz I didn't ask for an elaboration but an explaination. Elaborating would mean that the original comment actually made some kind of sense. OP comment was "one of the first" which is TRUE. Further whether or not you find it "wack" is irrelevant. Also feel free to explain to me how my name is "fake" as i've been Enoch Dark on KZitem for 7 years and SoundCloud for 10. If you Google the name it takes you to my "real" name Facebook page... Where I was Enoch Dark until some d-bag such as yourself reported me forcing me to use the name nobody can ever pronounce properly but fail to see the relevance of this. You're the one sitting over there with no picture and no content talking nonsense and being wack bro.

Biz OWNED NYC radio! His songs played all through the streets back to back. The records themselves were super well made and banged so hard. Although he was funny, his songs were still hardcore and nothing clownish about them. I never heard anybody snap on Biz. He was kinda feared talent wise. Nobody disrespected him.

Summer of 1985, me and homie traveled on the LIRR to visit his cousin out in Central Islip, Long Island. I was still 14. My man's cousin saw Biz walking, with his head down like he had a lot on his mind. He had on these shell toe Adidas that he painted black with reddish brown shell toe and the absolute WIDEST FAT LACES I ever seen in my life. They were a novelty, because we was all wearing fat laces but Biz was doing the most. He kicked the beatbox for us on the street for like 4 or 5 minutes. I'll never forget that day in '85. RIP Biz Markie D. Humble brother.

Man it’s such a tough pill to swallow when you have to start accepting the inevitability of time, hip hop was and has been the soundtrack to my life, though I have experienced other genres in this lifetime, it is hip hop that remains the most significant and important to my timeline, I remember hearing Biz for the very first time as an 11 year old kid and the profound effect he and the juice crew had on me, they were other worldly and like comic book heroes to me, now I have to face the music that even heroes have a checkout date, you never really consider such things until they arrive, it is very humbling and a reminder that this life doesn’t really belong to us so we must make a difference while we are here, I can’t speak for others but I know for sure the difference this man made to me and my childhood journey through this wonderful creation called HIP HOP (and I mean HIP HOP)

He was always on the pulse of hip hop, mostly because he lived it. Not only that, but, he was underrated as far as intelligence. Biz was funny, and made fun of himself, but he was very sharp, and knew what he wanted to do, and did it. He was very influential during the Golen Age Of Hip Hop!

It's so funny how different people cover Biz and some have even made docunentaries about him. They talk about the man and all his classic music...but for some reason, people seem to never mention that he is also the first and probably only artist at least in hip hop...to have a hit single that was just an instrumental. How did so many people forget the song "This Is Something For The Radio"? 🤔
